Be Nicer to Sadie...
This novel was not my favorite in the series. I do like how Sadie is now seeing more of the world and meeting different persons. Through most of the books in the series, you get the feeling of a grown woman who was protected by her family, husband, and religion. She is carrying a lot of inner thoughts and emotions but a lady doesn't act upon those! Then Sadie acts and trys to help a possible boyfriend in finding his lost daughter in Miami, Fl. The scandal is spread in a newspaper article and television news article by the infamous reporter, Jane. Now Jane has struck back in Garrison, CO. Everyone seems only to ready to condemn Sadie and spread gossip about her no matter how many years she has been a dutiful citizen. Even, her so-called boyfriend is more worried about 'his' situation than hers. This sends her off to Oregon to aid a stranger in a possible murder case. I think Sadie needs more backbone and control over her life. I do adore her children and would like to have more inter-action with them in future novels.Sadie has a love affair with foods and it gracious enough to share her recipes with us readers. Oh, yummy. Hopefully, Sadie gets more respect soon. The next book is "Pumpkin Roll."

Sadie Hoffmiller strikes again !
In Sadie fashion, she uncovers motives in a business partnership and finds clues to several unsavory family secrets, and families that need to be reunited. As the stories [1-4] progress so does Sadie she grows in investigation skills, relationships with family and friends and a determination to finish the job even if it kills her. Blackberry Crumble makes a fantastic stand-alone novel. Be a ware that there is no SEX, erotic or other wise nor horror, but a little romance that goes a long way. What I loved most were all the recipes featured at the end of every few chapters.

Could Sadie be in over her head. . .
After a news article paints Sadie as a murder magnet, the residents of her small town start treating her differently. Tired of being in the spotlight and needing a way to escape Garrison, Sadie agrees to accept an offer to investigate a death in Portland, Oregon. But being an "official" investigator poses its own challenges. This is a delightful addition to the series.

Another Sadie story survived
I have really enjoyed this saga of Sadie Hoffmiller. There are a lot of mistakes that Sadie makes and I feel that it makes her more relatable and it shows that not everyone should be poking their nose around in police business. I am glad she lived through this escapade!

hooked
I can't stop reading these books. They are simply fun and easy to read. I haven't made any of the recipes, but I plan to.Killpack is good at building up the plot to a great climax. By that time there is reason to suspect many of the characters in the book and the end is always a surprise.

Great story
I love the Sadie Hoffmiller series. Great mysteries, funny, charming, and not too spooky for murder mysteries.
