I’ve been doing my nails off and on since I was a five year old kid going to work with my mother in a beauty salon. I learned watching her and she never used a drill to do the most natural looking acrylic sculptured nails and silk nail wraps I’ve ever seen. But, I’ve never come close to matching her artful skill level or speed .... eventually I’d get my nails how she could in an Hour from scratch ... but It would take me 3 days of torturing myself and nail beds relentlessly to just come close.BECAUSE OF THIS PRODUCT THOSE DAYS ARE OVER AND A BEW DAWN HAS RISED TO SHINE LIGHT ON A BETTER FASTER, EASIER WAY!I love that the gel doesn’t “dry” or “harden” until I’m ready for it to! The completely transparent thick paste remains workable without losing its adhesive qualities for as long as I need for it too and doesn’t “set” until placed under a pretty powerful UV black light and then “soft sets” or “tacks” the nail form, tip, or glitter rinestones in place in under 20 seconds and completely hardens and is ready to file, shape, or paint in under two minutes of Uv exposure. It creates a confident suction between the natural nail and a nail form pulling the two together but allowing the nail form to be repeatedly moved and manipulate the product to spread out perfectly in between the two and creating the sculptured artificial nail quickly and effortlessly without any guess work. Any excess gel oozing or squish out as well as the cuticle and underside of the nail can be cleaned up with alcohol/slip and a stiff paint brush while the product holds the nail form in place on the nail all on its own! No need for nail clips or the impossible attempts to hold the nail form on the nail with the other hand turning on the black light and somehow getting both hands in that exact position under the lamp without the work you just put in getting the soon to be new nail perfect getting ruined because it slides out of place .... blah blah I could go on and on.. even with the nail clips. With this gel I don’t have to worry about this drama fiasco ever again it seems! The gel keeps its shape while holding the nail form where I left it, I personally soft set each nail by exposing them as I go for 10 seconds under the lamp and this ensures the nail to stay where I left it until I’m done with an entire hand and am ready to give all five fingers a full two mins under the lamp to harden together, saving time, easily releasing my new nail from the nail form, popping it off, cutting and shaping the nail (which the gel is ready to file as soon as the two mins are over and it has hardened) It is easily shaped with a glass file or high grit sand paper style Emory board file.. while down with a lint free cloth and alcohol to clean before applying the top coat and sealing the final product and placing under the UV lamp one last time and DONE!What used to take endless filing, shaping, smelled horrible and took three days now has no real “sent” what so ever, hardly needs any “sanding” or shaping whatsoever now takes THIRTY MINUTES and looks BETTER THAN EVER! Minus the headache and stuffed up sinuses! amazing product! I can’t wait to try out more products from this company and new possibilities from this newer way to create crafty fingernails professionally or at home! Anyone can do it themselves. I am honestly in shock. This is the second brand of Polygel I have used & desperately wish it had been my first! All this time the other brand made me think Polygel nails were super flimsy compared to acrylics & this product has completely changed my view.When the nail salons in my area closed and I had to find an alternative to the acrylics that I had worn for around a decade, I found out about Polygel. As I was not about to go around for the next few months with unkept nails, I bought a highly rated starter kit and quickly picked up how to use the duel forms, shape the gel, prep my nails, and apply the Polygel properly. The issue I ran into was that even after curing the daylights out of the Polygel provided in the kit, they were quite flimsy & broke often. Still, I probably would have bought more of the original company’s poor excuse for Polygel if it had been in stock (even though I was breaking or cracking at least one nail every other day) as I was honestly none the wiser.Because it was out of stock & I had blown through the half oz of clear Polygel that came with their kit in under 2 weeks, I took a chance & ended up buying a tube of Gershion brand in the color “Clear” & thought I was in for more of the same.The second I tried to squeeze it out, I knew it was going to be different. Much thicker consistency (even in its uncured form) than the first Polygel I had used. It doesn’t become runny with slip or alcohol like the stuff before. Instead, it stays a moldable gel that forms to duel forms nicely. The Polygel cured in 60 seconds under my light and the duel forms popped off with ease and weren’t left with residue. When I clipped the ends to square the nails off with a false nail trimmer, I actually had to squeeze quite hard in order for it to work (compared to the other stuff that it literally sliced through as though it was butter). After many days of use, I haven’t so much as cracked or lifted a single nail (which is a freaking miracle in my eyes). If I could give this stuff 10 stars, I would! Yes, I am seriously that impressed.My only tip is that the clear Polygel is very see through and lets through a ton of light, so be prepared to apply additional coats of polish in order to counteract that if you don’t desire see through nails.Gershion: You now have a new lifetime customer!
