Goalrilla Striker Soccer Rebound Trainer with Double-Sided, Ultra-Responsive Rebounding Net and Goal, Large

This is my third or fourth attempt at purchasing a soccer goal and rebounder for my now 6, 9 and 12 year old children. Save your money and just pay up to get this and be done with it. No other goal or rebounder lasted more than one year. Between rust, sun, and simple use, they are falling apart in months. I know it's tempting to get the $99 goal or rebounder, but you may as well light that Benjamin on fire. So what's so great? First the construction is and materials are top rate. All metal, powder coated or enameled to ward off rust and sun damage. All the nuts and bolts are metal as well (sounds redundant, but you will find most lesser goals have plastic fittings). The fabric sides hold the most potential for wear, but it seems to be extremely heavy duty and I would assume sun resistant. Design is fabulous as well. Overall size is larger than your standard sub $200 goal. The net (which is made of very strong braided cord) is affixed to the frame with elastic cord. This cord provides an entire surface with a very lively rebound effect. When shot from the goal side it will return to ball to you so you can keep on shooting (no digging in the net to retrieve your ball). When shot from the backside it functions as a true rebounder that has a slight upward angle so the return is sent back higher than the ball went in. Great for practicing trapping the ball and controlling the ball in the air. The rebound effect on both sides is very lively and comes back at least as hard as you sent it in. So at the end of the day I spent $400 on crappy equipment, and $250 on one that I have no doubt will last me many years. Trust me, save $400 and get the Goalrilla.

Seems sturdy and works great as a rebounder. My 12-yr old loves it - he is a goalkeeper for his travel team and he uses this a lot to train. Setting up the net though is a little tricky. I actually used some math (percent of length calculations - approx is good enough) to determine how much of the bungee cord to use on each length from corner to corner, which helped since we had three attempts at "guess-timating" that didn't work so well. Also the instructions say to feed the bungee through "every other square". This is true EXCEPT for you have to go two consecutive squares in the very middle on the two long stretches to make the corners come out right. We did this again on that last attempt and the net finally looked neat and parallel. I don't know how long it will last before rusting since it is made of steel but we but some rustoleum anti-rust spray over places where we scratched the paint and also at the joints. Also be forewarned that it is VERY heavy so set it up exactly where you want it unless you plan on getting help to move it around. I don't think you would need the anchors unless it is an extremely windy day (like tropical-storm-force winds).

This is a high quality goal, A bit on the expensive but well with the cost if you are looking for a goal/ training rebounder that will last years. Pros : Works great, rebounding slack is strong for precision practice. Highly quality, welds in the goal are done extremely well. It’s heavy / sturdy. Cons: up front assembly take a little time but, hopefully you only do it once It’s Heavy , moving to different field locations will require two people and a pick up truck. Overall great product, I recommend .

Purchased this for backyard use and training with my son in middle school. The frame setup is rather straight forward and easy. A few screw holes had excess paint in them, making it a little tougher to screw in with the provided elbow-shaped Allen wrench. The bungee cord that secured the net to the frame is difficult to install — it must be pulled tight and threaded properly through sections of the net. Overall took me about 2 hours to complete install from unboxing through setting in place the assembled goal. Note: my net had a defect from the factory which the manufacturer promptly addressed with a replacement shipped free to my door. That said, the original is still usable for now, so I have a replacement in store. I am not looking forward to uninstalling the current one and installing the replacement!

This goal met and exceeded my expectations. The size is just perfect for our 8 and 11 year olds who both play with this - along with the rest of the neighborhood. It is extremely sturdy and very well made with high quality materials. My 11 year old daughter and I put it together by ourselves in a little over an hour. I would have been lost on attaching the bungee if I hadn't watched the online video on the website, as I referred back to it on several occasions. You definitely need two people to do the bungee chord for the rebounder net, but once we watched the video it went fairly smoothly. My husband and I both played soccer and it works for both of us as well. My daughter even practices her volleyball drills on the back of the goal rebounder. She has to be on her knees (because the goal is too short to use in this manner), but with her modifications she can volley and set to herself rather easily. It works on her ball control. While the goal is smaller than the regulation soccer goal, I can already see my sons accuracy improving since he has this smaller target and his ball control skills are improving as well. The rebound is quite strong so it helps with coordination and movement. We've only had it a few months, but I've gone through several cheaper smaller / versions and I can already tell the difference. You get what you pay for, but this is a great price. I did a lot of research before purchasing this and for the size and quality, you can't beat it.

Edit-After being outside this spring and summer part of the elastic netting has came apart. I would have expected it to last much longer than that. The Structure is still solid but the bolts used for securing everything are obviously not stainless steel as they are rusting now as well. Changing my review from what was initially 5 stars to 3 stars. Great solidly built product and my son loves it! My only complaint is if you are ordering it as a gift it comes in a large Bright Orange and Black Box with a Soccer Player on it that easily identifies what it is when dropped at your house. My son spotted it on the front porch before I even knew it was there and it ruined what would have been a great surprise for Christmas..... Normally products like these come in generic brown boxes and that would have been great. So be aware if you're ordering it as a surprise. Product wise it's a home run and again much better build quality than is usually found in products for this price!

This is a game changer for your home. My daughter plays club soccer and she is constantly in the backyard putting this to work!
