Part seems a little snug as compared to the old one, but otherwise is fine. My trimmer is old and perhaps is a bit smaller

Got Lynxx trimmer @ Harbor Freight? IT FITS!
This replacement cap is GREAT news for all the Harbor Freight consumers out there who have worned out their Spool cover on the Lynxx 40V Lithium Cordless String Trimmer, sold by HF circa 2018-20. This one small piece of plastic rendered my Lynxx trimmers useless in the past. I bought the extended warranty for the tool, which saved my bacon in the past; always the same poorly designed part would wear out or break! Skip the hassle of attempting to find original replacement part: order this set; 3 of them for 3 bucks and change. I think I can get 5 more years out of this trimmer now that I have ample supply of its weakest link on the Lynxx. Brilliant! Also came on time to early on the order, no hassles, double brilliant!
