This costume was perfect for my three year old's halloween. As soon as it came, she wanted to put it on. I let her but was frightened she would tear it or stain it before Halloween. no problems. it is high-quality, not flimsy. I haven't washed it yet but am optimistic given the thickness of fabric and quality of the seams. She wore it for Halloween with lots of compliments. And I'm biased of course but she did look adorable! She was entranced and really appreciated the shiny gloves and soft "helmet". An older kid might want to purchase an additional hard-sided helmet, but the fabric one was great for us. (She's three but almost a size 5T). The suit fit her very well, seemed comfortable and breathable. She wore it for hours at daycare and home and never complained. I would recommend this to anyone.

Believe it or not my 19-month-old wore this for Halloween despite the size listing from 3-6. My toddler is on the large size at 35 lbs & 37". The legs & sleeves were rolled up and the elastic cuffs made it stay put. The elastic waistband fit perfectly. The gloves come attached to the outfit so I left them that way since my toddler is too young to keep gloves on, and he was still able to display them as part of his spaceman gear. The soft "helmet" is easily removable & was perfect to keep his head warm outdoors. Everyone's favorite part though is the name tag "badge"! We taped a smal photo & wrote his name to make an official ID! There's room to grow & I've already machine washed & air dried it twice- great quality! Lots of fun!

This is a terrific costume! My 4 YO GD loves it!! It's a comfortable fit--not too loose or form fitting. The silver "belt" around the waist gives it a fitted appearance. The silver gloves are too large, but that's fine--she'll be wearing them for a while. She's going between princesses and astronauts right now, and this fits in perfectly. It's both official looking and stylish and works really well with her light-up princess sneakers. She was walking on the moon all day. Oh, one more thing--the "helmet" is terrific--it's soft and not constrictive. I was worried about it being too tight around her neck. Not a problem. The neck opening on the suit is roomy, so there's plenty of breathing room.

This is cute and I really do hope it will fit my 3 year old niece. It looks like it can be rolled up so it'll be good for a couple years. The only issue so far I see is there are too many stitches. The gloves are stitched on to suit and the name tag is stitched in but no velcro once you cut them. It's cool there's a spot for a picture and name, but not if it means a hole and then the pocket is always open.... But it's super cool and cool lil helmet hat!Update : removed stitches with no problem. However I'm worried about the gloves because they almost fit me and I'm a 5'9 woman who cant fit most OS store gloves lol. Ohwell, I'll see how it goes!! Really nicely made and cute otherwise.

They just don't make them like this anymore! What a well constructed costume! We bought this for our daughter who is obsessed with EVERYTHING space! She WILL be an astronaut one day! This will last a very long time, the "helmet" is also soft material, which I perfer to the large plastic alternative. This provides more airflow and comfort. You could fit a small hat underneath for warmth of needed. The gloves are also very warm! I doubt she will need to wear another pair out trick or treating this year. The only thing she's missing is a shuttle!

Love this costume! It’s on the thinner side, not very warm and definitely too big for my 3 year old, but for the price in comparison to other astronaut costumes available, I think this one was definitely worth it! My daughter is generally a size 4T (on the tall, skinny side) and this will definitely fit her for the next couple of years. Helmet and gloves were too large to wear to school, but overall very happy with this purchase. Melissa and Doug never disappoint!

I was very impressed by the quality and versatility of this costume. My son (broad shouldered, 50" tall, 50lbs) wore this comfortably for Halloween. His measurements would be probably 90% of the max for this costume.My twin 2-1/2 year old daughters also wore this for fun just playing around the house. The elastic waist, cuffs, and ankles seem to make this work well for a variety of sizes. The outfit looked a little bulky on the little girls, but it stayed where it was put and would have been perfectly usable and exciting for them on Halloween.The shiny gloves and cloth helmet really adds for the immersion for the kid, all of my kids love it. I'm very happy I bought it.

I bought this for my 5 year old, as it's his greatest dream to be an astronaut. He absolutely LOVES it. Wears it for hours each day. The cutest thing is when he puts it on and then jumps on the trampoline pretending there is less gravity. It's really great quality, lightweight but sturdy. The helmet is a little flimsy, but he doesn't mind at all. He LOVES the little nametag it comes with, too, and he wears it with pride. Now when we go anywhere (in our white minivan), he pretends we're on a space shuttle. He has dubbed himself science officer, his brother is the navigator, and I am the pilot/captain. Great costume for imaginary play.

This costume is well made. Love the little details, the silver gloves, name card etc. zipper seems sturdy. Fit both my 2 year old and 4 year old grandsons. The helmet could be a tad smaller as it’s big on both of them. This was a Xmas favourite for them and their parents.

2 year old dresses up and pretends that he is exploring different planets and the moon so definitely a win imagination wise size wise it is a little big for him so rolling up of sleeves and feet has to happen each time until it can be hemmed. time spent exploring and playing bonus!
