Basic high chair.
My husband and I are enjoying are now almost 7 month old son. Let me start off saying that we don't have a lot of experience in the baby department. We are also people who like quality products. My husband was really worried it was going to be junk because of the price. So it surprised me that i love this very inexpensive high chair. I did a lot of research before deciding on this chair. The Trip Trap chair had some safety disputes and the boon seemed to have performance issues (per reviews). My mom has one of the nice graco high chairs which I like but our 1700 square foot house is shrinking with all the baby stuff taking over and we just didn't need all the bells and whistles that the graco offers. Now about the evenflo.... This is bare bones simple. It took my husband about five minutes to set up and I'm pretty sure he didn't even glance at the instructions.Color:I was in the other room when he opened the box and I heard him say: "it's green." I replied with well yeah our only other choice was pink... I walked into the room and before I could catch myself said: "whoa that's green". So yes, the green color is a very bold, vibrant, bright green. It works in our house though and seems to add a pop of fun color and at least we know our son will never fall asleep at the table because of the brightness of his chair. :)Material:The plastic is NOT super thick and strong. It feels like if I sat on it (which I don't know what my motivation for doing so would be...) it would probably crack. It does say don't use after the child is over 40lbs. It's almost a similar plastic to those strong sturdy clear storage plastic bins that you might store Christmas decorations in.... it does have some flex to it. The material that covers the seat has wiped off quite nicely but I cannot vouch for machine washing it because it just hasn't been necessary yet. The straps are the three point harness but in my opinion could have been made out of a softer material. The straps are a little rough/stiff and seem to trap food within the fibers pretty well so I may see if I can wash those up and maybe they will soften a bit.Footprint:This chair is a little wider at the base than I was expecting but not in a bad way. Since it is extremely lightweight and made of plastic I like that the legs angle out to give the chair more stability. We put felt pads on the feet and just scoot this chair all over the place. The chair:We talked with a children's nutritionist and she said for a baby's digestion it's actually better for babies to sit upright. This chair definitely sits our son upright. It does not recline or move at all. He would not be able to sit in it if he didn't have good core muscles and head control. Yet, you should know our guy was 6 weeks premature and is only 15lbs at 7months. There is a plastic bar that goes between his legs that helps hold him in and locks the tray in place. I have noticed for the purposes of the bar, we have to make sure his rear is scooted to the back of the seat then everything fits perfect. The chair also seems like it will allow for room to grow plenty. The tray:I love this tray!!! I can get it on and off no problem with one hand! It is super light. It is also on the smaller side which could be good or bad depending on your preferences/needs. I love that it is white and I can see all the gunk and wash it off. I also like that there is not an inner tray and another tray within the inner tray. One piece, take it to the sink wash it off and I'm done. My husband asked if it could go in the dishwasher. I'm not sure and I would be concerned it would warp and with the plastic bar it could be a tricky fit. Like I said its so easy to hand wash and rinse I don't think the dishwasher is necessary. The tray is not adjustable so that is something to consider, most of his food ends up in his lap. It's not a big deal to us though because the seat cover wipes off so easy and there are very few food traps (nooks and crannies) to gripe about. Plus we have noticed that lots of food that goes "overboard" actually lands on the table top that's halfway between him and the floor--it's like a safety net for flying food!I saw that someone gave this chair a "1" star rating due to a recall. Yes the chair was recalled and it was because some people had a problem with the tray popping off and their child then tumbling to the floor... Number one: They have fixed this problem, number two: umm it's called use the buckle and strap your kid in the chair, that is what safety straps are made for... The tray is to hold food not your child!Overall I love this high chair so does my husband and my son seems content as well. My mom, who owns the fancy graco, loves this chair. Lightweight, no extras just a basic chair. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Why pay more? Easy to clean, multipurpose, and durable
This high chair is amazing. I had my doubts given the price and as a first time mom I was getting drawn into the cushy seat and loads of features of fancier chairs, but really, after a year of using this chair I wouldn't buy anything else. I have twins so in the end I originally bought this chair because I couldn't choke down buying two $100+ chairs they'd use for a year. I truly believe this chair is a better buy than any of the more expensive ones we looked at.PROsWIPE CLEAN. This is so key. Part of why I chose this chair in the beginning is due to reviews here and on blogs about the ability to wipe the molded plastic clean vs a cushion. It's so true, I'm glad I listened! Even the most wipabable cushion still needs to be washed and line dried every now and then and I do enough laundry already! I used the seat covers for a couple of weeks and after washing them twice I said forget this and never looked back. Maybe I'll use them again when we convert to a an activity table permanently, but they're definitely not needed. My kids were perfectly comfortable.ACTIVITY TABLE. It's so easy to pop the seat off and use the bottom for coloring, painting, etc. and then you're not getting crayon on your kitchen table! The second reason I bought this chair was the activity table function and it's been great. I thought I would only use it that way after they were done with it as a high chair, but we flip it back and forth frequently. Another plus I didn't realize when buying was using the table as a transition to the big table for eating. We can practice eating at this little table.SHELF STORAGE. I didn't realize how much I'd like the shelf underneath for storage of bibs, washcloths etc.5 POINT HARNESS. One high chair I was comparing this to was IKEA's Antelope chair. This one has a 5-point harness and that one does not. Besides being better at keeping Houdini older kids in the chair, it helps hold a just-starting-solids baby upright. The straps are pretty easy to take in and out and clean too.HEIGHT. This height was great for us. We could pull the chairs up to our kitchen table when we wanted to and the chairs were just the right height. As mentioned above, I was comparing this to IKEA's Antelope chair and it is much shorter (it feels weirdly short to me actually).CONsLARGE FOOTPRINT. Unfortunately this one doesn't collapse or stack or anything so it does leave a large footprint in your kitchen.TRAY. The tray is one large molded plastic piece and is attached to the piece that goes between the child's legs. It's easy to clean, but when you need to clean it in the sink, it's cumbersome. It also doesn't adjust/slide in closer to the baby which I could see being really useful when the child is small. I usually use old burb clothes and receiving blankets as 'napkins' since the tray still leaves a gap that the bib doesn't even cover and that worked well for messier meals.

Safety concerns
Honestly, I had to return this one. I found my daughter was sitting very far back from the tray so there was huge mess being made. The final straw though was when the tray started cutting into her legs. She had cuts and scraps from moving her legs up and down. She was only about 10 months old at the time, so I don't think she was doing it hard enough. Seems like a big safety flaw. It was very cute though and easy to set up.

Me encanta

I LOVE this highchair
I LOVE this highchair. It’s half the price of other high chairs and it turns into a table and chair! Absolutely would recommend this. My daughter loves it!

Excelente Calidad/Precio
Excelente producto calidad-precio, obviamente hay mejores, pero realmente no sé ocupa gastar tanto en una periquera para darle de comer a tu bebé, aparte que lo puedes convertir en mesa y sillita para que después se ponga hacer sus actividades..
