these things are great. they take 3 AA batteries. you can select from a whole spectrum of colors, change at will. perfect for walking into the bathroom at night, the light comes on (i prefer red) long enough to do your thing and get back to bed.the motion detector only triggers when it's dark so you're not wasting battery during the day. you may want to fiddle with the direction it's pointing so it triggers when you want it to, not when you don't. it's got a pretty good range - at least 15-20 feet.of course you do need to clean them (i do it when i clean the toilet weekly), and even so eventually they get gummed up around the battery case and stop working. but this is after many many many months.just saying, you will be glad to have the replacement when the time comes, hence the 3 pack.

Was given one of these as a gift and the husband liked them so much I had to buy more. Easier for him to see at night! Lol

This toilet light is a nice product—theoretically. I like the concept. I like all the light color selections. It shines fairly brightly to help you see the toilet in the dark. It’s not hard to set the color to your choice if you want to lock on a single color. You have to wait for it to scroll through each color (it stays on each color for 8 seconds). When you see the color you want to lock on, just press the button while it’s displaying that color.BUT I got this because I have a special needs adult in my household and I need him to see better to, well, have better aim. This light hanging over the edge of the toilet is a target in and of itself. So it’s getting “hit” a lot—or at least it’s “arm” that hangs over the rim of the toilet does, and that “arm” has the light on the tip of it, pointing into the toilet. The problem is that the instructions say not to use harsh cleaning products on it. Well, then how am I going to get it clean?!? Also, since it and the “arm” that hangs over the rim of the toilet are plastic, they stain VERY quickly—with pretty much one good “hit”. So when you lift the toilet seat to do your business, you see this stained product which looks, well, dirty.Again, it’s a good product and it works well, it’s just not turning out to be practical in our house. I was able to remove one from the toilet, clean it, and hang it on the toilet paper holder to just be a motion detector light in the bathroom. In that case, the motion sensor still faces the door and so the motion detecting feature still works well. But in another bathroom in our house, the position of the toilet paper holder does not allow the motion sensor window to hang facing toward where someone would walk in the door. So I had to put that one up on the top of the toilet tank.I cannot envision using these for very long because of the practical use shortcomings.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. (AAAAA+++++) These lights are perfect! You can place batteries and work through rotating colors or adjust for your liking. Very easy to install and adjust. Easy to clean and reattach. Easy light on the eyes. Perfect for finding that target. A must for those late night toilet visits....

We got these as a gag gift. We liked them so much, every bathroom now has one. My mother-in-law wanted a set for her 3 bathrooms as they are up often during the night. Now my sister and my sister-in-law bought sets for their homes. It is just the right amount of light during late night bathroom trips. Funny.... My grandson won't let me tur on the overhead light when he uses the "potty" because he wants to see the "potty" light up. HAHAHAHA
