I can't give a 5 because I haven't yet tried it in a plane. But I am pleasantly surprised that it can also be used for holding the phone on a table and can be used vertical view or horizontal view. It has 2 spring loaded holders so it fits many sizes if phones snuggly. So far I'm liking it.

A great little versatile gadget to have! It’s sturdy so it’ll hold my phone at all different angles. Folds down fairly small and flat for storage. Easy to use and adjust. I’ve attached it to tabletops, airplane trays, even my steering wheel when I eat lunch in my car and watch my shows!

I bought this to use inflight but when I opened it, I realized how convenient it is to use anywhere. I like that it clamps onto a desk or table and holds the phone securely. The holder was heavier than I thought it would be- not cheap or flimsy at all. Nice phone mount to use everywhere.

If you travel/fly a lot than this product is a must have! It grips well, and has held everything I have put in it.
