Good for the money. Has wheels!
First of all Im a guitar player who owns a bass.........so that means I may not be the best judge of bass amps.I really like the way the tool bass player sounds, enough that I learned how to play the parts. This amp ( and a pick ) will give me that percussive edgy sound.I also use it as a small P.A. at parties and run a Ipod / computer through through it.I even used it at my sisters wedding and sang through it. I did run my mic and my acoustic guitar through a RME fireface and logic first though, so it was a nice even signal going into it. Sounded really good!Just go in through the effects return to avoid the eq section. It also makes my house vibrate and really scares the dog............. Fortunately its not the brown sound if you know what I mean:)

A little damage and bad information
When amp arrived it had two nice dents in the corners of the case. Also the add says a 3 year warranty and that is not the case its a 1 year just like everything else. If I had known it at the time I would not have bought it here but elsewhere so I could get a 3 year warranty. Amazon please change this part of your add. 4 Stars only because it sound great.

Great Amp - Poor Packaging by Hartke
First the good news - the amp itself gets 5 stars - it is everything that all the reviews you read on line say. It sounds great and has a lot of nice features I'm still playing with. Ifou can get one, you will be very pleased with it.Now the bad news - the packaging from Hartke gets 1 star. This is a very heavy amp, as advertised, yet Hartke seems to be coompletely unaware of the stresses their package goes through in transit. The first amp arrived badly damaged and even the replcement Amazon sent "Next-Day" had a couple of dings (Though tolerable... Hartke just places a lightly cardboard shrouded amp into a very cheap, flimsy, outer cardboard box with no extra padding, foam forms, or other isolation. The inevitable man-handling of the amp in-transit goes straight to the amp.So, go ahead and order the amp, but be prepared to deal with what is delivered - Carefully disassemble the box becasue you might need it to return the amp!

Wow !!!
Loved it, the minute I plugged it in.This is the amp I've been waiting for, from the warmth of the tube preamp,to the brightest slap&pop, and everything in between.I've been in cover bands for 30plus yrs and this amp will do anything I want it to. Simple controls & setup, If you can't find "your sound" here, maybe you should try playing guitar instead. I can't say enough about it so far, only had it about a week. More than enough power! I've played much more expensive rigs, and I think this one holds it's own with any of them. You could pay twice as much for an Ampeg! But why? It's not just me, my band mates were "blown away"too. The bottom end with the 4x10 is amazing. Buy it, you won't be sorry

Great bass amp combo!
Amazing sound and volume. Works incredibly great for various types of sounds, from clean bass to heavier more growling bass tones.
