Must have for weaker hands
I’m 40 and suffer from carpal tunnel and arthritis pain that can make embroidery hard. These thimbles help me grip the needle and pull through the fabric and many thread layers. The silicone is flexible and makes wearing them comfortable. They can get sweaty if worn too long.

Lightweight, flexible, affordable
I hand sew quilt pieces, making very small stitches using a fine needle with a long eye. After sewing for an hour or more, the eye of the needle sometimes pierced the skin of my middle finger. The rubber thimble fits on my middle finger without diminishing my dexterity while providing just enough of a lightweight barrier to protect the skin of my finger. Problem solved. These thimbles are very affordable and provide the quality one has come to expect from Clover products. A great bargain as there are two thimbles per package. NOTE: This thimble is not what I use for hand quilting but for hand piecing.

Very thin!
These rubber thimbles are great if you are not dealing with sharp needles or pins! I use these for knitting as my tiny tiny double pointed knitting needles sometimes jab into my fingertip and make my fingers sore. They are great and add a layer of extra protection to my fingers, but they are very thin and have holes right in the finger tip! I understand that the holes are for breathability while working, but they are not placed very well! They won't break, they are made of a high quality silicone that will withstand regular use, unless you pull or tug on them very hard. I would recommend a different pair of flexible thimbles if that is what you are looking for. They do have great grip though!

Just right!!
Fit well on my middle finger that I kept poking with the needle while cross stitching. They are soft and comfortable. I found myself walking around with it on, even after I stopped stitching, because it was so comfortable I had forgotten to take it off.

Soft yet sturdy
These were super useful for several days of emergency costume hand sewing for the local theatre. Although I am terribly allergic to latex, these didn’t really bother me.

Thinner than I would have liked
These stay on and do the job but they are super them and will not work as a good thimble for quilting.

Rather thin.
I thought this would be a stand alone thimble. I think it is to put inside a metal thimble.

Great for tiny metal works
I got these for my niece who likes to do those little metal builds so her fingers are protected. They work well for her!
