Vestil TDR-55 Steel Tilting Drum Ring, Painted Carbon Steel, 1200 lbs Capacity

Bought this along with a cradle for 55 gallon barrels of oil. This worked well for moving the full barrel from the back of the pickup into the shop using the pallet forks on the tractor. Hubby is happy with it. It seems to be well made. Can be a bit tricky to use so pay attention so the barrel doesn’t flip on you.

Makes grabbing 55 gallon drums way easier and safer. I have used it a few times now with forks attached to my tractor. Works best on steel drums. The plastic ones are a little tricky since the plastic can cave in on the sides pretty easy. I wouldn't try super heavy plastic drums. Beats sliding barrels on the forks and than going super slow. Now I just pick them up once the ring is attached and can drive normal. I use this around our yard moving and unloading our drum of animal food. I haven't used it to tilt and pour but as long as you get it balanced right I don't see any issues in doing so.

As another reviewer has noted the ring is dangerous because the screw threads on the adjusting rod are incorrectly made. The threads look more like tall fins than threads and they are fragile. When the nut slips the ring is going to open and the drum is going to fall. I would have returned mine except, I need it, I already threw the box away and I can fix it. If you can't or don't want to fix this dangerous defect before you even use the ring then don't buy it.

Works as intended and has helped move several 55 gallon barrels safely as well as allowed us to tip them for dispensing. It came with the chains to keep it secured to the forks and has a wide adjustment to accept several varied 55 gallon drums.

Bolt stripped after second use. Drum almost fell on someone. The must is loose up and down the bolt almost like it is the wrong bolt and nut.

Got the drum tilter in just fine, but it's missing the safety chains to secure to the forklift.
