Jail House Rock
I purchased this for the solo play and I was not disappointed. It is a very smooth system and fun at other player counts too.

Light, bidding game.
First, this is not a 5 star game. Scythe is a 5 star game. Terraforming Mars is a 5 star game. Wingspan is a 5 star game.Games that have PROVEN to be mainstays even years after they were released are 5 stars. This is not that game. It’s average. That doesn’t make it a “bad” game, however. I just think it’s necessary to differentiate between what “5 stars” really is vs anything less. So, this game...it’s a “bidding” style game in that players lay down tokens with various values onto the board in various spaces in the hopes of achieving the highest bid and getting the greatest reward. Other lower bids typically will get something but not as good.First, let me just say this is about as themeless A game as I’ve ever played. While the board is impressive and your bidding tokens are supposed to be a clan of fantasy characters with different strengths (values) and abilities (zero strength but zero “suspicion”) at no point did I feel like I was traversing a fantasy dungeon avoiding the eye of the guards, etc. You’re quite literally laying tokens down to win resources/actions. If the art and theme of the game appeal to you be warned that it will fall flat as the mechanics are not as married to the theme as you might hope or think. The funny thing is this probably would have done better as a smaller, abstract game then the full blown production that it is.At any rate, it was fun enough as I’m a sucker for bidding style games. Really, bidding is about the most interaction you can have in a game besides flat out hidden role games like Avalon. For some reason I kept thinking of Cave Troll while playing this one. I’d probably pick that up before this one. Sure, it’s not exactly the same game but I think it does a better job of the dungeon-esque theme. Heck, maybe even the classic Dungeon game is more of what you’re looking for?But if bidding games are your thing, this is the best choice of those.

Among the best out there
I played this for the first time today. What a great game. Everything works well together, nothing added to it for unknown reasons, rules are clear and easy to understand. Sturdy game board with nice artwork. This is a must have for your game collection, but only if you really like a good game.

Nothing to do with Roll Player. LockUp is boring.
Nice board. Boring game whether multi-player or solo. The cards are small and not very strong.Usual wooden cubes and plastic ones. This is an expensive game....wait for the price to come down or shop around.I regret buying it because it lacks replayability.

Not in English
Love this game, but I thought it was in English? Why ship in Italy to someone named Alberto Mugnai a game in polish language? I do not understand polish...
