How long is each strip? Using for a ball gown with lots of fabric in skirt

Each strip is 4" long. It is double sided. I used it to hem some drapes for a closet. Not sure how effective it would be on a ball gown and you would need lots of it.

How is this tape safely removed from garments without ruining materials?

You can remove it by gently pulling section by section to remove BEFORE laundering. If you wash your garment and/or dry it (especially in the dryer), it will melt and ruin your clothes. This tape works wonders for temporary hemming, such as trousers that are appropriate length when wearing heels, but need to be shortened when wearing flats. It's also good to help out the top of a dress that shows too much cleavage for work, but is just fine for an evening out.

Will this work on a chiffon dress??

YEsss!! It’s wonderful and that it works on any fabric and peels off with no visible sign!! I wear chiffon & tulle often so I get it!

Does this work on sequin dressses?

I haven't had this NOT work on any fabric I've used. That said, you fold the fabric over and stick it to itself using the tape - which means you would be able to use the product, but you would have sequins scratching you.
