Ben Horowitz creates an interesting take on business here, and it’s interesting to see how he dives into personal stories and uses them to highlight business principles. You’ll get a heavy dose of real world advice and opinions from his upbringing. Unlike other business books, this one takes a far more personal take on things, and delivers in a very jovial manner.Through the book, you will see highlights of how to build a business even when it seems like a difficult task, and how to climb out of the heavier problems and succeed. This is definitely a positive book, and it’s done in a manner that is both personal and business minded. I liked the transition, and recommend it to those that are starting a business today.

Sharing so much of what Ben Horowitz has learned, most of it from hard times, setbacks, crises of various kinds, and – yes -a few ill-advised decisions that he duly acknowledges.Thanks for the summary, its a great starter. I am now intrigued to buy his book and read it and at least be better prepared to make those decisions that all of us dread.

I recommend if you are in the heat of the battle, read/listen to the unabridged book first.This is a fine summary but it misses key takeaways. There are many more, and equally important, takeaway's from each chapter. I expected a summary that claims as much would deliver. It's 60% accurate from my perspective. Still a good read.

Excellent book that shows that bad things do happen and that one has to have the resolve to being able to escalate the bad moments and transform them into a learning experience. A Must to any entrepreneur.

This is a very good summary. It's nice to get the important bullet points without having to get too deep into the stories. This is a very good read for anyone running a growing business. It gives some good insight and perspective on areas of the business that you might not consider important or relevant but it alerts you to things like employees perspectives and their reactions to certain expectations. Very good read.

Summaries of chapters are pretty good and decent takeaway bullets noted. There was some repetition but one can go as suggested to TOC and seek out specific information.

Very interesting. Easy to read. Fast paced. Worth the investment of time and money.
