Orthodontic Patient's Dream
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this. It has a great design that seems almost too good to be true. But after two days of using and now three weeks later or using it once a day, I have the most inflamed and hurting gums on my bottom arch. There's one area around a tooth that appears terribly swollen and IT HURTS excruciatingly to use the jetpik there. I have braces and I do not have gum disease. I've had strong gums and teeth for the past several years. I now have a few really sensitive teeth since using this. I don't know if I want to use this another night. It's a shame because the reviews are great. I would rather use the hassle of threaders and string floss than go through all this pain I feel right now. Any advice anyone?UPDATE 4/6/17 After only one month of using this, it stopped working completely. It turns on but the water never comes all the way through up the tube. I'd rather use floss threaders than this device. Good old Waterpik Ultra is superior to this.UPDATE #2 APRIL 2017. I called the company and they sent me a new unit, free of shipping or other fees. As mentioned by other reviewers, they have excellent customer service. Overall my experience with this is highly positive so I will update from 1 to 4 stars. Bleeding gums should subside if used at the lowest setting for several weeks. I recommend you use this regularly and not get scared like I did if the first time doesn't work so well. Good Luck

I love this thing.
I bought this unit in June 2015. Shortly after, I had a problem with it, so I contacted the company's customer service via email, wondering if I would get a response. I told them that I *loved* the product but had a problem. Well, I sure did hear back. Not only did they replace my unit immediately, but they also asked me if I would review the new unit. From then until now (Feb 2016), I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the CEO of the company (who like me is very excited by these products). I have found him to be a pleasure to work with. He has listened to my concerns and a few ideas I suggested. You may see one or two of these ideas sometime in the future!I bought the original unit because my gum health deteriorated, and my dental hygienist said I needed to use a waterpik arrangement in addition to brushing. I have never thought much of waterpik thingees, so I went looking for something more efficient and effective and found this.As it turns out, my next dental appointment was noticeably better. Normally, I get plaque deposits that are fairly thick behind my lower front teeth, a very common problem. This time the hygienist could find almost no plaque anywhere, including behind my lower front teeth. The combination of the sonic brush (which thoroughly breaks up biofilms on the teeth and removes incipient plaque) and the waterpik-flosser attachment (which cleans and exercises my gums), well, the results had her pretty amazed. And all without me touching my teeth with a manual string of floss! A beautiful melding of effectiveness and convenience. Manual flossing is one habit I am delighted to break.I have recommended this unit to my mother, who has a bridge that requires some difficult moves when manually flossing. She loves her JetPik. At my recommendation, two friends of mine are using another JetPik, and they love it, too.Be aware that I had to spend two or three weeks using it 1-2 times a day to get fully comfortable with it and figure out the ins and outs of using it most conveniently. There is a bit of learning and adjusting. So give yourself the same amount of time before a final judgment. I can also attest to the high quality of customer service I experienced not only the first time I contacted JetPik last July but also since then. If you try the unit and have a problem, contact them for help. I believe they will take good care of you.

rendering this item useless. I've read a few reviews that are having ...
Bought this in hopes to replace flossing. Jetpik gets out most if not all of the gunk between your teeth. Over the few months that I have used it, two tooth brush heads died on my, as well as the water flosser, rendering this item useless. I've read a few reviews that are having the same problems as me, so be cautious when buying this, it may be a few cases or a common trend. However, when it works, it works beautifully, but once the machine dies, its no good. This happened a few months after I bought it, and I have thrown it away by now, but I see that they do have a 2 year warranty on these items, so that may be a help to others. I got this shipped to Canada if anyone was wondering, only because I couldn't find any other place that would ship it here without a ridiculous price.

Dead again...
As for the product itself, it has worked great.BUT...My initial purchase had some sort of battery issue in less than a year. Battery life would constant blink and unit itself doesn't seem to charge anymore as I could barely get 30 seconds worth of use until it would stop.I did contact the Jetpik and they did make it very simple to get a warranty replacement. All they asked for was my original Amazon purchase invoice number and picture from bottom of the unit. Now only 4 months later, my replacement unit is showing same issue, battery light blinking, even after 24 hour charging, it would last may be 30 seconds and would keep on cutting out. This has been my long term use review.Time to give different brand a try.

Better than I thought!!!
What I like the best is that it is compact and easy to use. Like the fact you can set intensity of the water spray. Can’t wait to see the next report card from my dental hygenist! The only drawback was my instruction booklet was tragically in every language but English. Thankful for the quick start guide in English.
