Great Tablet, and it works with keyboard/case
I bought a Zeki 7-inch tablet a couple of weeks ago through Amazon and so far I love it. Thanks for all of the honest reviews that helped me make the decision! There were some things I was concerned about before I bought it. In order for it to be more than just a geeky toy, I wanted one of those keyboard cases so I could use it for my writing. There were comments here and elsewhere saying that it might not work. Well, I am here to tell you that it works perfectly! But there is a bit of a trick to it.Here's the story. The tablet and the keyboard case showed up within a week of ordering. The tablet has a female mini USB connector and the keyboard has a standard, full size male USB connector. I bought a gender changer (female to female) and used that with the cable that came with the tablet. Nothing. I tried every combination of cable and adapter that I had, including a powered USB hub, all with no luck. I confirmed that the keyboard worked by plugging it into my PC. I had seen in a couple of forum posts that at least a two people had gotten it to work, but they gave no details; they said they plugged it in and it worked. I e-mailed Zeki support and got an answer several days later saying that external keyboards do not work with their units.Meanwhile, I did some research. I discovered that there are more than one kind of mini USB connector. There is something called an OTG (On The Go) connector, designed for phones and tablets that are actually wired differently than the standard connectors. So I ordered one. I got it, connected the keyboard to the tablet with it and it works perfectly. I had heard that sometimes some of the keys (like delete) or the lights (Cap Lock, Num Lock) would not work, but absolutely everything (as far as I have been able to tell) works perfectly. I could not be happier. So to save you some time and grief, here is exactly what I ordered:Along with the Zeki 7" TB782B Capacitive Multi-touch Tablet, I also bought a 7" Tablet Stand with USB Keyboard - Black Faux Leather Carrying Case, and a Zuweiyu(tm) Mini USB Host Cable (Otg Cable). I am willing to bet that any of the keyboard cases will work if you use an actual OTG adapter.BTW: The e-mail from Zeki support saying that it would not work came a day after I got the adapter and got it working. So I let them know that it does indeed work.

Faulty ports
I have now owned three of the same model. I have contacted zeki product info regards this. If it were not for the ports being loose, the DC adapter not fitting into the jack, the pins breaking after one year of gentle, but daily use, I would say I love this model. Out of the android tablets I have owned this was my favorite because of OS, price, size, weight, and ease of use. I did not like the front facing only camera, but oh well. I have now invested the price of a mini i-pad and thus my next purchase will be one, even though I prefer android! If you purchase this model, realize that in one year you will find the ports to charge it so loose that it is inoperable. So make sure your apps are in a cloud. I could not unmount my SD card properly when it finally went down. Good thing I did not keep a lot of important things on it.

App Store Solution
I purchased three of these tablets as gifts for my kids. After playing around and setting them up for the past few days, I am thrilled and know they will be too come Christmas morning. There have been some reviews about problems with the preinstalled app stores which I also ran into. I could not get apps to download or even get myself registered to do so. Easy solution: I disabled the preinstalled stores and downloaded Amazon App Store for free. I was then able to quickly and easily download all of the apps I wanted... Netflix, Kindle for Android, Pandora to name a few.Since these are for my kids, the ease of use, quality construction, and affordable price make this the perfect tablet.

zeki tablet.
Got some of these for our kids to help with education and the keep our I pad free for ourselves. They came promptly and were very happy with what we received. Took awhile to get things figured out and down loaded before kids opened them on Christmas. Limited apps which was a BIG one. No play store which really sucked. Deffinately not for the beginners. Netflix is also not compatable.About a month later the headphone jack came loose and stopped working. Amazon contacted seller and it took them awhile to get back to us instead of the 24-48 hrs they said. They did contact us and said they couldn't replace it but when we returned it we would receive a full refund. So if we do get a replacement which I am wary of, who knows how long our kid has to wait before we can repurchase a new one.............

Nice little inexpensive tablet
For around $105 this was a great way to step lightly into the tablet world without spending hundreds of dollars. The Zeki comes loaded with strong internal and storage memory and you can use an SD card to expand it up to 32 GB. The two app stores are lame and the Amazon app store is okay (at best) but the market can be flashed. I recommend this if you want use of a tablet without having to spend a fortune.

I am trying to make the transition from apple products to the android market.
The adjustment was easy, but when you have been able to do something for so long it becomes a disappointment to lose certain characteristics. The tablet is extremely slow to respond to touches and internet activity. I have not uploaded much on it, yet, so I am surprised by the slow connections. Many of the games my friends have access to are not available from this awkward android/app market. One example is a game called "What's the Saying." Another is "Blue Block."The overall experience is disappointing so far. Thanks for asking.
