Advantage 2 Kitten

I am "owned" by 3 baby kittens: Tank, Bright Eyes and the hell raiser (no name yet). Born at the same time they are (well over!) 2 lbs each and only 3 months old. They have not been out but...one will find out in a hurry that you can bring in fleas on your shoes, clothing, mail, newspaper, ...almost anything. So when the babies started scratching, I began to brush them (interesting side story on that one). As I noted not only fleas but flea eggs as well, I rapidly looked for a product that would eliminate the problem. After research, I found Advantage 2 on Amazon which also noted it as a recommend product. Before applying, I read the instructions again, I combed 2 of the 3, got a large portion (probably over 75%) of the fleas/flea eggs combined out, and then applied one tube of Advantage 2 to center of their shoulder blades. Within 3 hours the 2 of them stopped about 75% of their scratching. By the next morning, they weren't scratching at all (only demanding food as usual). Now I DID NOT comb them again as I was very concerned (and probably right) that I could comb some of the residual Advantage further down their coats. Plus their mother still gives them the "bath" about every 2 days or so. By day 3 after application, I noted some intermittent scratching which made me look for fleas on the two of them. Overall, this product is working very well on the kittens. Now, you are probably wondering about kitten #3, referred to as the hell raiser. It took me and the and other half two days to finally catch him long enough for me to apply the Advantage. Once picked up this little monster SCREAMS and Momma (better known as "I have claws which you will find out about) comes running over to protect her little.....baby. Anyway, the Advantage worked on the monster also. I will be buying this product again for the next application for all 3. As for recommendations: Yes I do recommend this as a BUY. I add caution to be sure your kitten or kittens are over 2 lbs and more than 8 weeks old (as per the instructions). I would add a personal note to gently comb your kitten with a "kitten" comb to get out as many fleas and eggs as possible BEFORE applying the Advantage. AND DO NOT COMB AFTERWARDS to preclude spreading the Advantage in areas Momma cat or the kitten can or will lick or at least for 6-7 days. . Overall, a very good product AND worth the price!

Great product.. took closer to the 6 weeks to erradiccate my flea issues, and it gets all over the hair, so it's not the easiest thing to apply to a squirming kitten - but hey, it works!

Our kitten is a little over 2 months old and she was the runt of the litter and spent her first couple weeks outside (we got her from another family member with a lot of stray cats) and she was covered head to tail in fleas and flea eggs and after a couple of rough bath times and lots of flea combing and apple cider vinegar we got a decent amount but those suckers just kept breeding so we decided to get this as soon as we saw it and looked at other great reviews on it. Wasn't shipped from amazon so took a little while but not too long and was very protected and tightly packaged. We've only given our kitten one dose and on the box it says it will kill all flea stages of life after about 12 hours but after about 8 or at the most 10 hours all the fleas were dead and all flea eggs were gone and I was very impressed! This is a highly recommended product from one kitten owner to another and this product is for 2-5lb kittens not just under 5lbs

While the price is good, and it temporarily reduced the number of fleas on my kittens, it did not eradicate them by any means. I'm hoping getting my carpets treated for fleas will solve the problem. In the past this brand has worked well, but this year it just isn't as effective.

Best I've found; but it just seems like DAMN FLEAS ARE DAMN hard to KILL. Crazy!!!I used this at "expert ferret Vet's" advice on two of my grown-ferrets... I had to use it twice; about... I risked it - 8 weeks apart; Each of these times - I Only used 1/2 a tub on Each ferret at one time; this is IMPORTANT !!And it worked and they handled it just fine.. HIGHLY recommend ONLY this brand for FERRETS.I once tried a different brand on them and it had bad effects on them; Mocha had BALD spot the size of 1/2 a bald spot with 3 hours no joke. I'd still kiss it and tell her she looked beautiful though; Panda lost her shine - and the fleas remained...

Does not work - previous to application the pet was bathed in a flea shampoo and combed through with a flea comb. Once dried completely, this was applied at the base of the neck. Each day, all carpets were vacuumed, all bedding was washed, carpets were shampooed weekly. Everything was dusted. Seriously, relentlessly cleaned. Additionally, the cat was combed over with a flea comb every few days. This was reapplied at the 10 day mark.It has been 3 weeks, there are still fleas. Completely in effective, I'm in NC, if that makes any difference with the resilience of the fleas.
