Good Experience: Love the Swivel; Hard to Remove iPad.
I love using this keyboard case, the swivel works great and I now have a more productive iPad when using it. Especially considering the apps I have that don't have much viewing space when touch typing in landscape with a custom keyboard toolbar above the keys. I use an app that utilizes quick markdown syntax buttons in a tool bar. Now the toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen giving me the full screen to interact with; just perfect. Also iOS 10 seems to have added more Hotkeys for use on an external keyboard. Still learning those but they come in handy. It's a good time to buy keyboards for iPads. With concerns of other reviews here on the swivel component breaking the case eventually, registering it with the Snugg website is a must! But I hear great things about their customer service and warranty, so I consider it a minor risk to buy this case at the great price! For now, i'm very please with my experience. Will update if that experience changes.Pros:- Long battery life - Did one full charge when I got it and still have not needed to recharge (2.5 weeks so far with moderate use)- The swivel function is awesome - I don't have to un-dock the iPad from the case when using more casually! Also with big hands, my grip feels sturdier with the thickness of the case when I am on the move. I always feel like I was going to drop my iPad before.- Like the feel of the keys - not too soft nor too shallow on pressing. A nice balance for a condensed keyboard space.Cons:- First case arrived and would not hold a charge - This is why I buy from Amazon, quick exchange within two days and got the second case.- Removing the iPad from the case is not easy - Even following the instructions in their manual it is hard. I rarely take my iPad out of it, but when I do I feel like I could break the case at some point. Especially for big/fat hands and fingers.Other things worth mentioning:- Keyboard is on the loud side - This doesn't bother me in the slightest but I know others will be.- Stylus is old style - If you didn't know, this thing comes with a stylus. It's on the left side of the keyboard, where a USB Port/Headphone Jack would be on a laptop. Just push it in and it will bounce back out of the case. It's an old cushioned point stylus that I would never use. But I have an Adonit Pixel Stylus so this is also not a con for me. But others will struggle with pinpoint accuracy of the stylus.

I really wanted to like it....
I brought this case because of all the great reviews....I admit I probably just got a defective unit, and every company has a few defective ones. After about a week the keys on the right hand side stopped working, up until then I thought it was an OK case/wireless keyboard.Pro- Well built. I really felt like my iPad Air 2 was snug and safe in this unit- Wireless keyboard was very responsive , some ppl may not like that it is "noisy", but it honestly didn't bother me.- Easy to understand and use. Great directions, and was very easy to set up- It was "thin" but it wasn't extra heavy. I felt like it was the right mix of heaviness. iPad felt protected and it was light enough to throw into a book bag for school, without the heavy weight of a laptop.Cons- Battery life wasn't too great, I felt like the wireless keyboard really didn't last very long and you couldn't charge it and use it at the same time.- MINE was defective (Broken within a week)- Couldn't disconnect IPad from keyboard unit. I didn't really realize how useful this would be until, my new wireless keyboard unit came, and I realized that I really did want to be able to take just the IPAD sometimes.....- The pen sucked.....plain and simple wasn't worth it. Took too much effort (pressure) to make it somewhat work.Even if the unit had not had a defect, if I had to choose between Snugg fit and New Trent (replacement), I would had picked the New Trent. It was slightly less expensive, offered the same protection, and allows you to charge the keyboard while in use, and remove the iPad unit from the keyboard unit without taking it out the case.(Update)I've upgraded this from a 3 star to a 4 star because of the great customer service. After reading my review the company has offered to send out a new free case. Good customer service is so hard to come by now-a-days and any company willing to above and beyond to take care of a customer should be recognized.

Nice, but no banana
This is the kind of product that makes you think "How could they be so near, yet so far?"This was a potentially great product, let down by several poor choices. I sent it back.1. The build quality is not great. The base is not level so mine wobbles a bit. The keyboard isn't very well made so one key is already sticking. I know they wanted to make it light, but the base is so light now (compared to the top part with the ipad in it), that if you use it on your lap it will tend to topple over. So its best on a table for stability. But I can live with that.2. The keyboard connection is poor, leading to repeated letters when typing. I got the new version with the better bluetooth connection so I don't know what's to blame. Also, I can't find any indication of what bluetooth level it is. Is it bluetooth 3 or 4? If its still on the old bluetooth 3, then that would explain the variable typing reliability. But I can live with that.3. The shift key is in a stupid position. I've been a touch typist for over 40 years, but apparently some young 'genius', who was probably not even born when I started typing, thinks its fine to relocate the right shift key to some other stupid position. Hey, why not? Why not relocate the space bar from the bottom to the top of the keyboard? Why not put the tab key on the right side instead of the left?I am not going to re-train myself after 40 years of conformant keyboards, to adapt to this crazy non-conformant anomaly of a keyboard. I can't live with that. And if you're thinking there wasn't enough space to do it properly, well, just look at a few other keyboards and you'll see its perfectly possible. There are 2 other minor irritations which made me lose faith in this. They've put the Wifi symbol next to the light for Bluetooth. Not a big deal but doesn't inspire confidence. But they've also used the wrong character code for the 'page-down' and 'page-up' keys. Those keys actually execute 'scroll-to-top' and 'scroll-to-bottom' functions.Honestly, I don't know what they were thinking. This is version 2 of the product so you'd think they'd have ironed out all this stuff by now.

OK but with some niggles that take the shine off a bit
I really want to give this product 5 stars, so why only 3...There are a few niggles with this keyboard case that stop me giving it full marks:1) No magnetic closure - so your iPad won't wake or go to sleep when you open/close the case.2) The clamshell design of the case doesn't have any lip or easy way to open it up. You have to almost get your finger nails between the lid and keyboard to open it. The hinge closure mechanism is quite strong, so it would really benefit from some sort of lip / cutout to open the case more easily.3) Your iPad clips into the lid part of the case really snugly - too snugly in my opinion as it's a real struggle to get it out again. Almost feels like I'm going to break the case or the iPad that much force is needed. This isn't a case where you can quickly unclip your iPad if you want to say read a book in bed without having the extra bulk and weight of the case attached.4) Stylus - the case comes with a stylus that pops out of the side of the case. Great idea, but it's a very poor quality stylus that doesn't register very well on the iPad touch screen. At first when I tried it it wouldn't register on the screen at all! Now, with a bit of repeated prodding it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I have another stylus that works beautifully with my iPad so I can only conclude this one is made with quite poor materials.Clearly it depends what's important to you in a keyboard case, but these are my observations of where the product could be improved.30/5/16. Ok so after this sitting in a drawer since I bought it I thought I needed to give it a fair try. I've been using this for about a week now and so far the a piece of the plastic case around the volume button has just broken off. It works ok but is I still think it's a compromise, the keyboard takes a few seconds to reconnect when you start typing after leaving it for a while. I still get annoyed that it's hard to open the clamshell easily since there is no 'lip' or recess to get your finger under. Getting the iPad out of the case is still a massive struggle feeling like you're going to snap the case or the iPad with the amount of pressure you have to put on both. Not sure it's got a lot of longevity...

Original unit faulty (missing key)\ Unit replaced by The Snugg
Updated Review information:(3 Stars for case/5 Stars for customer services)Following my initial review (having received a faulty Item which was returned to Amazon for a full refund) I was contacted by a representative of 'The Snugg'. They were extremely sympathetic to the receipt of the faulty unit and arranged for a replacement to be sent out straight away.Previously I could not properly review the product now I can:Pros:- The keyboard for the (iPad Air 2 case) was a good size.- Keyboard is very easy to connect and get working- I found the keyboard really nice to type on. (Not sure what some other reviews were getting at here).Cons:- The case weighs a lot! For such a slim and light Air 2 the weight seems unnecessary.- The grips that hold the iPad Air 2 in place are very strong to the point that I actually struggled to remove the Ipad from the case without damaging it. Swapping cases regularly could be problematic.- Without a clip to hold the lid closed (which is the bit your ipad sits in) when placed in a bag/rucksack the unit is free to move around more than I'd like. Having used the case for a couple of weeks the hinge is working lose with quite a bit of play. A slight re-design to add a clip on the case would probably solve this... (Hint)- As stated in my original review I still feel that this unit it a bit flimsy and would not offer much edge protection if dropped especially considering the RRP.My Rating:I would give Customer services 5 stars. I really couldn't fault them. The case I can only give 3 stars. I would happily up this to 4 stars if the case was more secure when closed. This alone would mean I was less worried about carrying it around in my bag which would remove the need to swap cases to a more protective one when travelling and therefore lessen the problem/risk associated with removing the iPad from the case...Perhaps a design ammendment will follow?...Original Review: (1 Star)Arrived missing one of the keys! Very poor. Aside from the missing key the Build quality does not seem as good as I would expect when paying nearly £50!Very Dissapointed...

Good, but it has it's faults.
This good in terms of functionality, but it makes what is a very portable iPad Air2 into a small, very heavy laptop. I can't believe the difference it has made to the weight. I have stopped carrying the iPad around with me, as it is too heavy for my bag. I thought I could just take the keyboard off when I needed to, but I have found this to be almost impossible, (I haven't actually managed it yet, as it was so difficult). It also lacks a pound sign and I am forced to copy and paste from other sources, which is very frustrating. That said, it makes typing much easier, provided the screen is landscape, as you can't use the keyboard if the app is portrait only. A few tweaks before this hits all the buttons I think.

Seven weeks and four days later... with UPDATE
I bought this case to make life a little easier but it failed to hit the mark. It's heavy and not easy to open and, after receiving it on 12 January 2016, it met its demise on 5 March 2016 after the case split and could no longer support itself when open. The case had never been dropped or roughly treated and this was a complete surprise. Thankfully I'd held on to my previous Snugg leather case. I don't think I'd buy another keyboard case like this one.UPDATE: Snugg replaced the defective case and, so far, I have had no issues. Long may it continue!
