Called on to create something for International Dinner night at a local beekeeping club, I IMMEDIATELY turned to this book. Recipes range from the quick & easy to the more time consuming but complex-delicious; meatballs from meat, to fish, to vegan. Instructions & tips on forming them, answers to questions like "Can I freeze them?", and "Deep Frying at Home" (can healthy eaters really do that?! - the answer is yes)....How often do you wish you could offer more than cheese & crackers when entertaining??This is a book that makes a great gift, and at the price, a steal. My wife ordered 6 copies so that we always have a go-to gift for friends (think birthdays, or when staying with friends while on vacation/road trips). Every kitchen should have this fantastic resource of eclectic recipies!

What a great concept for a cookbook, everyone loves meatballs! Incredible variety of recipes, and the top of each page tells you what country inspired the recipe.

This is a wonderful book with excellent photos. Many delicious flavors and ingredients ranging from traditional to exotic. I especially liked the instructions in the introduction - they are clear and very helpful. The recipes are well organized and formatted, so they are super-easy to follow. We are having a lot of fun with this book -- everyone loves meatballs!

I love this cookbook! I'm a pescetarian and there are loads of great un-meatballs to enjoy.I've loved the Spicy Fish Balls in Tomato Vegetable Stew - so easy and flavorful. The Scallion Tofu Balls are a perfect little lunch. But so far the Lentil Balls are my favorite, the lemony pesto and tahini sauce is amazing! The recipes I've tried so far have been delicious and easy to follow.

Reading Adeline Meyers' meatball cookbook made me realize my perception of 'meatballs" was very narrow. Her table of contents divided the book into meatballs, poultry balls, fish balls and veggie balls. Under each heading were entries for snacks/appetizers/ soups/stews, sandwiches, and main entrees.Each page is laid out beautifully with a list of the ingredients listed in metric and U.S. measurements, step by step easy to follow directions, and often a full color photograph of the finished food item. The author included tips and notes for most recipes too.Take the time to read the introduction. There is valuable information for the reader. The author provides the origin of each recipe near the recipe's name. It was interesting to see the different countries she gathered "ball" recipes for this cookbook.Most of the ingredients can easily be located at the grocery store. Other ingredients like sumac powder may be more difficult to find.A few of the interesting recipes were: venison meatballs with a wild berry sauce, orange duck meatballs with celery root puree, steamed spicy mussel balls, and Italian Arancini (rice balls).So broaden your perceptions of meatballs and try some of the tasty recipes included in Adeline's book.*I received this for your review - all opinions are my own*

Growing up I knew of two different meatballs Italian and Swedish. It wasn't until I received Adeline Myers Global Meatballs that I found out there were so many different ways to make meatballs. Of course other countries are going to have their version of meatballs, but I never thought about it. I am in Meatball Heaven!I am going to be busy making meatballs....Chorizo and White Wine Tapas Meatballs from Spain, Lion's Head Meatballs from China, Lemongrass Pork Meatballs from Cambodia, Poached Meatballs in Caper Cream Sauce from Germany, Orange Duck Meatballs from Australia and to Quick Potato, Corn and Tuna Fish Balls from Australia. With over 100 meatball recipes it will be hard to decide which one you are going to make first.
