I did not purchase these jars for canning. I purchased them to use for overnight oatmeal and yogurt parfaits. The jars arrived intact and the glass grade appears to be if good quality. The rim and lid are separate. I have some Ball wide-mouth lids and rims, and, just for curiosity's sake, I tried to see if the Ball lids and rims would fit the KAMOTA jars. The Ball lids fit, but the spirals on the rims did not match up. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend the purchase of this item.

Perfect for making sous vide cakes! Of course the lids don’t fit standard mason jars - how else could you have an 8 ounce wide mouth jar? They arrived well padded and there were no broken jars.

Perfect for storing and gifting jellies and jams. Lids, however, are not interchangeable with standard canning products like Ball or Kerr.

These jars are just slightly smaller than Ball wide mouth jars, NOT ALL rings will fit. Some will, and plastic Ball lids will but some Ball rings won’t work with them.

They are clear, easy to apply a slicker or write on with a marker. Great for gifting once filled, use to store anything-such as crafts, beads, pencils and or pennies. They wash easily and are bright. Great for so many needs.

Addendum to post: The diameter is the same but the space from the lip to the shoulder is too shallow so the band or cap bottoms out and pops the lid over the small threads, which are also closer than standard, so it binds before it screws down. (It's like getting those spaghetti mason jars you think are a cheap substitute but the mouth is smaller! Your lids will pop off, these jar mouths are smaller, the lid fits but the band doesn't, and plastic lids pop off before they tighten. The description implies they'll take standard mason lids. Faulty, misleading, bad vibes, not happy.)

First let me say that these jars were purchased as storage jars to replace pyrex bowls that the lids keep breaking. But, in case I needed an addition WBC jar these would be needed. Having said that let me advise these ARE NOT compatible with American Ball or Kerr rings. American rings are larger. I even tried with a Basll/Kerr lid and a thicker fermenting lid and neither works with US rings on these jars. This information should be specified in the item's description. But here is an anomaly, the white WalMart canning jar lids fit perfectly. So, for canning zero stars, for storage 5 stars and I will keep them for that purpose only.

Cuando las tapas empezaron a presentar desgaste compré tapas del tamaño indicado (wide mouth) para reemplazarlas, sin embargo las tapas que compré parecen estar muy grandes y no cierran. La rosca en el anillo de la tapa queda muy grande para la rosca en el frasco. Pensé que podría ser un problema de las tapas nuevas, así que pedí otro paquete de tapas y me fijé que en esta ocasión fueran de la marca original (Ball). Se presentó exactamente el mismo problema.
