Swanson Flaxseed Oil (Omegatru) 16 fl Ounce (1 pt) (473 ml) Liquid

I purchased a carbon steel skillet and began an experiment with the anti sticking properties of flax seed oil. I got the method on the internet which consists of high heat and multiple applications of flax seed oil on the pan. The method stated required 5 treatments lasting about 2 hours each. Using my gas grill on high, I was able to apply the same nonstick surface on the carbon steel skillet in half the time. Apply oil to warm skillet with paper towel, super thin coat. Turn on grill to high, put skillet on grill upside down cook for 45 minutes, let cool to 200*, reapply oil 5 times. Comes out light colored carbon and non stick as long as you don't wash with soap or use acidic juice such as lemon. In addition, after use and cleaning(hot water-paper towel) I put a few drops of oil in the skillet and wipe out with a paper towel. This was far superior to the other nonstick methods touted. Works equally as well on cast iron. This was the best price I found and the product is not just for your health.

I love it, I love it, I love it!I don't eat meat or seafood, so I am always trying to supplement my diet with healthy supplements. And as far as nutrients go, flax oil (and seeds) has awesome benefits for the body (including hair, skin, etc).To camouflage the taste, I add it to foods like I do with the whole flax seeds (that I like to grind and add to pancakes and bread recipes and such), but, in liquid form I can add it to shakes and smoothies for a power-shake or whatever and it is so awesome!I can't say enough about this nutritional superfood! The smell is bad when husband is using to season our pans. I have to leave the house and he has to air it out. It seasons the pans great.

Another product that means that I can be healthy without having to gag down another pill. I add the flaxseed oil to my morning protein drink and it blends quite well. Flaxseed oil is good for the heart and helps you to have beautiful skin as well. I do believe that it doesn't matter how much make up you use if you are not healthy from the inside. Glad to find this product.

I have Eczema, I have had it since I was an infant. Now I am 28 and it affects me just the same as it always has. I have tried just about every home remedy, Ice, oatmeal, oatmeal lotion, oatmeal baths, Neosporin, Mentholatum, Petroleum jelly and now flaxseed oil. As no one really knows what causes the auto immune disease Eczema, there is no cure. As a kid, I used to sleep with socks on my hands because one with Eczema will scratch even when in deep sleep. Eczema is unsightly, it looks like the start of the plague or some grotesque burn, your skin blisters, cracks, weeps and bleeds as you scratch it to the point of pure orgasmic pleasure while chunks of your own skin clump under your fingernails. It takes all of ones will power not to scratch their Eczema, so after a few weeks I usually lose the battle and fall apart.This flaxseed oil definitely helps, but if you have Eczema on more than 10% of your body and it has already started to weep or you have scratched to the point of bleeding, this won't work. You would be better off getting a steroid topical ointment and a cortisone shot. But, if your Eczema is just starting to flare up, this will definitely help it from spreading, flaxseed is a natural antihistamine and it most certainly works. It just works more effectively in the earliest stages. I always prefer home remedies, but sometimes in cases of extreme pain and suffering, even I have to give money to these terrible pharmaceutical companies to subside my symptoms. Anyone who lives with Eczema knows what I mean, not scratching makes you feel like you are going insane. The will power it takes not to scratch is exhausting and will drain you, scratching until you bleed makes you feel like a failure. Eczema is unsightly and embarrassing. To live with this is to be tested to the limits of ones mental capacity to keep their strength and sanity. I would not wish Eczema on anyone. I hope this flaxseed oil will help some people to ease their suffering from this terribly annoying and painful disease.

I tried Swanson's because there were one too many instances of receiving rancid oil from a different vendor. So far so good as far as taste and freshness. The really nice surprise is they have cleverly designed a bottle that gives you a squirt (or a stream) of oil without leaving any messy drips!Having used this for quite some time I have found it is best to keep it in the freezer. Only takes a minute or two to warm up enough to be liquid. Be careful not to drop the frozen bottle, though, as it may crack. (Do not ask me how I know this!)

The taste is alright. Ive been taking a spoonful a day for about a 4 days, and my eczema induced skin has really enjoyed the nutrients. My skin is softer, but I still have the nasty scales of eczema on my leg. Hopefully by the end of the bottle I have smooth attractive looking skin

I was born in Germany and we had this oil very often together with boiled potatoes (skin on) or with cottage cheese. It has a strange taste if you're not used to it but, it will grow on you, since it is also very healthy.
