"Perfect and Uniformed"
I initially had a problem with the cookie press not working properly. I contacted DKST Kitchen and David immediately issued me a refund AND sent me a new cookie press. The new press worked like a charm! I was able to make them quickly without any problems. I was making the cookies for a wedding so speed and appearance were a must. The guests remarked how "Perfect and uniformed" the delicious cookies were! With Christmas approaching, I am looking forward to making several batches in different shapes and colors! Thank you DKST Kitchen and thank you David!

The dough should be at room temperature and the baking sheet should be cool for the dough to stick to it
Cookie Press Kit - Stainless Steel Biscuit Press Set Includes 20 Discs & 4 Icing Tips. DKST Kitchen's Best Christmas Spritz Dough Cookie Gun. Buy Without Risk Today I have only made one batch of cookies so far but the press is working very well. Although the press is mostly stainless steel, there is a plastic part at the top where the press lever attaches. I wonder how long it will last before it gets brittle and breaks. My previous press broke due to a plastic part breaking. I won't know for a while as I have just starting to use it. The dough should be at room temperature and the baking sheet should be cool for the dough to stick to it. It doesn't work with parchment paper--the dough doesn't stick to that but stays on the press instead. I would have given it five stars if it weren't for the plastic part.

All gain with no pain
The reviews are right, this thing is insanely easy to operate and I used the recipe in the manual. There's a typo saying add 203 oz Water, it's 2-3 oz (2 - 3 tbls). I've never gotten past Frustration when trying to use a cookie press (power too) so I was Amazed to actually cook and eat the cookies this time. I have tendonitis in right hand and arthritis there too and I was totally expecting to send this back since all the reviews seem to be from lucky folks that got a $ break for giving a review but Amazon's great about returns and this isn't expensive so I got it. My hubby took the video and he didn't get in shot showing that I was pressing down the lever with two fingers! I had a sling on my right arm because of shoulder surgery recently so I had Three gimpy issues and Still it was easy as eating pie. Making it can actually be tricky. All I need to do is practice and after using every disc because it was great fun I was already making them thicker by just tipping one edge of the press a tiny bit off the sheet. Best I can do with one hand, the left one at that. Also the video looks like I'm having a hard time with it but contraire :)

A great cookie press
I have to say that this is a great cookie press. I did have a problem but the manufacturer contacted me and wanted to make sure I would be completely satisfied. I feel they went the extra mile for me. Their dedication to their product and to customer service is better than I have ever seen from any other company. I highly recommend this to any one looking for a cookie press. I looked around and couldn't find any thing better at a higher price and the dedication to their product and customer service is outstanding.

Well made, but I don't care for the design
The manufacturing quality of the press is quite good (well made - feels good in your hands). I find that I don't care for general design (tall cylinder with press handle lever off to the side). There are many other brands and makes with this same design so it must be an expected design, but I found it cumbersome. When pressing a cookie, one is required to apply significant grip to the tube cylinder to offset the torque one applies to the lever while pressing a cookie. With hands all buttery from putting the cookie dough into the press in the first place, it actually requires hand strength. My wife, who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, could not use the press because it required too much hand strength. So I give it a 3 star ("OK"). In fact, it gets a 5 star for construction, but only a 1 star for design (averaging a 3 star). We're going to move on to the design that employs a trigger mechanism (like a grease gun), or an electric model.

The shaft pushed through the piston making the press useless. Upon examine the design
I order this cookie press after reviewing and learning this as made from stainless; thinking is was a qualitity press. However, after using it and not even fining my first batch, the piston-plunger (which is plastic) failed. The shaft pushed through the piston making the press useless. Upon examine the design, this looks alike a weak part of the design. The rest of the press looks like it is a quality press; but the pressure exerted by the shaft on the piston is just not strong enough to withstand use after use. In my case, it failed after pressing 20 cookies. Follow up: After promptly receiving a refund, I received an email informing me that I would be receiving an upgraded cookie press at no charge. I just received it the other day and examined it but have not years used it. The piston is still plastic; however, it looks like it as been upgraded or perhaps the previous one was just defective. I will follow up once I have used it to comment on its performance. However, I do give DKST a high rating for their customer service, prompt response and standing behind their product. I would not hesitate to make a purchase from DKST in the future. Rectifying the defective cookie press was painless.

Flimsy and worthless...
The metal on this cookie press is very thin and flimsy. The first time it was used I pressed a few cookies onto the sheet when the press stopped working. The stem of the press went right through the thin plastic disc that was intended to pressure the dough through the shaped opening. The dough was very, very soft, so it was not because the dough was too stiff. It did not last through one recipe of spritz cookies.
