I had a smaller WiFi dongle (with no external antenna) and was suffering complete dropouts in an area of the house that is farther from the WiFi router. The dongle was connected to a Raspberry Pi I use as a music streamer, and the software I use requires that any WiFi dongle use a RealTek chip. This device has a RealTek chip, and the reception is worlds better than the previous item. It's been connected for over a month, and I have noticed zero dropouts whatsoever. If you have an older WiFi dongle, or one without an external antenna, and need better WiFi reception, you should consider this model.

This product completely resolved my poor connection issues. I was only getting a "fair" signal, having difficulty watching videos and losing my connection constantly. I now have an "excellent" signal, videos stream perfectly and I'm no longer losing my connection.I ordered a six foot USB Extension Cable with mine. That allowed me to try the antennas in different positions and locations to find the best possible signal. I found that getting the antennas up above all of my equipment, including the monitor, allowed me to get the best possible signal.I highly reccomend this product if you're having poor signal issues!

I almost refunded this thing after I installed the drivers and the adapter absolutely freaked out. But SANA from customer service was very helpful with his text messages and we managed to get it working again. DONT TRY TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS. It will only frustrate you. Affordable and truly plug and play WiFi adapter, I literally just plugged it into the USB port and got high speed internet working instantly. Just keep in mind it might be a little bulky for some laptops if you have USB ports in one side and they are already occupied, but your can unplug the antennas and work around it to put them back which is what u did. Excellent device, but will update the review in future if anything arises.

things that were taking me 20-30 minutes to download now take 1. My computer wasn’t even outdated but this just brought it back to life and saved me hours of screaming at my screen. Wish I would have had this months ago was so simple to setup.

Got a cheaper mobo which could do lower Wifi speed. Speedtest showed only 20-25Mbps despite the PC being not too far away from the router. This needed a fix. Bought this product which wasn't too expensive. So far so good and works well. Speed improved from 20-25Mbps to 280Mbps on google fiber which is at 1Gbps.That's good for me.
