This is an excellent stopwatch for timing events because
This is an excellent stopwatch for timing events because, unlike electronic watches, the pushbutton actually is mechanical and operates with certainty. Over time, the pushbuttons on electronic timers tend to fail to make good contact. There is no actual reason for that except that electronics people hold mechanicals to be of no serous interest. I think Tigris, or someone like them, makes a mechanical stopwatch with a separate reset button, allowing interrupted timing. I should actually have gotten one of those; it's a better buy.

Only lasted a year. Not worth it.
The crystal cracked on this watch immediately after I received it. We were always gentle with it, so I don't know why. The watch itself only lasted a year. We only used it about 30 minutes a day. Where does one go to purchase a good stopwatch these days?

Thanks for the memories
I used a watch similar to this for the many years I spent as a Navigator and Radar Navigator Bombardier flying B-52's. I've preferred analog watches for most purposes and decided to buy this one during as fit of nostalgia. It's as bit smaller than the one I was issued but it'll fill the bill. Some of these stop watches have a 30 second full rotation but we discovered that a 60 second rotation led to fewer errors in reading the watch. Only thing that could have made this better is a small cloth pouch to keep it in.

Great basic stopwatch
I needed a simple basic stopwatch & this fit the bill perfectly. It has a nice solid feel & has no extra features that I didn't want/need. Perfect in every way for my needs.

Good Quality
I was a little hesitant to order this stopwatch because of a lack of reviews, but I'm glad that I did. I've never had another mechanical stopwatch to compare it to, but I think it's very nice for costing just over $50. It has a pleasant heft in the hand, looks simple but classy, and times just fine. Depressing the crown feels a little stiff, but I suspect that is because it's brand new and will get smoother with use. I chose this model over others because it times up to 30 minutes. (Other options tended to track up to 15.) The back is plain, but looks better than the listing photo would lead you to believe. I plan on engraving the back someday.
