LG Electronics LAP250H Sound Plate (2015 Model)

My son recommended this sound bar for us to improve the sound in our rented condo. We couldn't believe the improvement!

It is better than the TV, but maybe I just don't know how to adjust it to sound it's best.

Let's be straight, here - if you're looking for super high end stuff, you're not looking in the sub-$150 range. You may be looking for something for your 40inch or smaller HD television, and if you're like a lot of people with TVs in those sizes, it's sitting on a console somewhere that putting a sound bar in front of would block the remote.For me, this was a great replacement for the soundbar I was previously using. I had to elevate the TV with a monitor stand so that the sound bar wasn't blocking it. The soundbar recently started giving me problems passing through an HD connection, so I figured I could repurpose it and get a new one for the TV. I'm able to ditch the awkward monitor stand and sit the TV comfortably on top of this. The sound is really quite good given the size and price range - I'm not unhappy at all, it's at least as good as the Samsung soundbar it's replacing. The various sound modes add a lot of options, but it seems like cinema is just going to be the best for watching good TV. Reality shows might suffice with flat or standard, or music if you're talking about shows like American Idol or the Voice.I had to limit the search to ones with HDMI, and that's surprisingly not as common as it should be - but this has the bonus of having 2 HDMI inputs, in addition to aux, optical, USB, and even bluetooth - a nice bonus for my bonus room.It's a bit larger than I thought it would be, but still fits comfortably on top of my rather smallish console. The subwoofer is located on the bottom of the box, and the black textured finish of the box is actually pretty nice.The volume will work in conjunction with your TV (if your TV supports it). My soundbar didn't work well wit the TV (Samsung with Samsung, so I was pretty surprised), but this soundbar works with the volume adjustment so that I don't need to use two remotes. The only caveat is that it still adjusts the volume on the TV as well as this sound plate.... but I'll lay the blame on Samsung for that one. No way to turn off TV speakers, which is actually kind of surprising in this day and age.There's one glaring issue with this sound plate, and I find that it's common with a lot of modern electronics - the display is absolutely too bright. It's screaming "HDMI IN1" underneath my TV right now, in letters that are about 3/4inch high (too big, too bright). I've covered up other electronics LED lights with electrical tape before, but doing that with this sound plate would make it so you couldn't read the display. Maybe I'll try to put some tint over it.So the bottom line is that it's an excellent sound solution for the price, I'm quite happy with the purchase.

Hated it. Would rate -5 if possible. Big waste of money. So sorry that I ever thought of buying this product and even worse, using the seller I made the mistake of thinking might be decent people. Horrible product compounded by a horrible seller.

Woofer sound is not good as my expected.低音效果一般般，高音也不出色。对不起这个价钱。

I love it. Not a full home theater system, but for the price it does a great job in our living room.

I got this for my mom so she could hear the TV better. Everything is great with this unit except one major flaw. It suddenly kept switching from optical to some odd name. She would set it back to optical, then it would go back. It took a lot of frustrating investigation to discover her special needs neighbor had somehow connected his tablet to the bluetooth. This definitely needs a software update to lock down the bluetooth a little better.

The sound is much better than the TV speakers but still depends on what you are viewing or listening to
