Awesome set of headphones
These headphones are perfect for working out. The short length of the main cord is perfect when used with the included armband as the amount of cord is just right so as it's not so long that it's swinging and getting in the way of your arms. I also use it when on the treadmill...I can set my iPhone on the treadmill right in front of me and the length is still just right so it's not in the way. I haven't used the included extension cord but I presume it's pretty good if you need the extra length. It also comes with different sized ear pieces which is nice if your ears are bigger or smaller than "normal". The earpieces fit very well in the ear and stay put even through a rigorous run however, if you're going to be wearing them for a long time (perhaps a long flight: 5+ hours) they become quite uncomfortable as i'm not sure they're designed to be worn for that long. They are also pretty durable: I accidentally put them through the washer/dryer and they came out unscathed.I only give it 4 stars because of the price (not unusual for Bose, but a little steep for what they are...I bought them though!) and the fact that the armband doesn't fit anything bigger than an iPhone 5. This is my first set of Bose headphones and I hadn't listened to headphones on a regular basis until I bought these but the quality seems to be top notch. Keep in mind i've got nothing to compare them to and i'm not an audiophile.P.S. Looking at the Bose site, there's a new version that doesn't include an armband, but instead includes a carry case. Personally, i'm disappointed that they aren't selling with the armband as I find it quite handy for working out. Now I have to find a separate armband...not only because it doesn't come with one anymore, but because the one I have won't accommodate an iPhone 6. Still only 1 star off for these shortcomings.

SOUNDS Awesome, but NEEDS Improvement to CLIP and ATTACH to your body
It is a Bose product, so I can't deny it's quality regarding it's sound, "crisp, good base, you get each penny worth" After my endless search for a wireless set for workout I decided to get back to wired sets and this was my choice to use with my iPhone 5. The fitting in you ear may be a little technical step to over come, since you have to make sure the R goes to you right ear, and the L (well I'm sure you understand this part) but even with this logical step to place them, it does take a little bit of adjusting and wiggling to create that PERFECT fitting. This particular set has to be placed where the mic. sits below your chin/ neck area, therefore your wire dangles down through your clothing (chest / breast) or on the outside, which for workout purposes may not be ideal because in my case the holding plastic clip serves no purpose because it won't hold tight, so as you move, run, jump or do any other activities when exercising your cable could be easily yanked and down comes your earphone... I tried to come with my own way to secure the cable (Like setting them from behind or to the side and down over my shoulder) but then I'm sacrificing the access to the mic. and the controls to answer calls or skip to the next song. At any rate, I give 4 stars because I would not recommend it for intense workouts, if YOU WANT TO USE IT for something else with less body movement then it would certainly do.Last but least the Armband is neat and stylish, seems of durable material but at the same time has soft touch, however if you are packing thick guns, (big biceps or arms ) then forget it. the small Velcro's will not hold much movement of your arms. HENCE MY TITLE. Needs improvement to ATTACH IT to your body

Sounds great, no noise isolation at all.
I love Bose. My car speakers are Bose. My portable speakers for my iPhone are Bose. My home surround sound is Bose. I had high expectations for these, but I'm a little deflated. The sound? PHENOMENAL! As long as you like to listen at 3/4 volume and still hear the guy on the treadmill behind you. But the sound is phenomenal. If you are running outside and need the situational awareness, these would be perfect and I would highly recommend them. They seem to stay in place well and bleed enough sound that you'll know who or what is around you. I'm a gym rat who doesn't make it on the outdoor runs too much, so these don't block the grunters on the machines (or the machines themselves for that matter.)I'm not bragging at all, but I don't have small arms. The arm band that comes with the headphones is quite large and if you have smaller arms, you may have to wear it as a shoulder band as to an arm band. The downside to this? If you choose to not use the armband or if you choose not to use a replacement armband, you have to use the extension. Then you're left with a cord that is about a foot too long. It just seems to be in the way no matter what you do.These may not have been for me, but if you are an outdoor exerciser with the need to hear what's around you, I would highly recommend these. The sound is VERY hard to beat for the price range and the function. I can't speak to the durability as I only had two days with them, but I can attest to the sound. As a side note for those looking for noise isolation, I had a pair of Etymotic Research HF5's that I ended up washing. Not once, but twice. And they still work. Just not with the iPhone as the controls got a little wonky and that is entirely my fault for washing them. Good true sound at a good price. And you'll not hear a thing. I just purchased the Jaybird Bluebuds X and had my first experience with them tonight. Good sound and the bluetooth functionality is tops! I think I found a good pair...Hope this was helpful.

Completely fails within 3 months of use
This item looks good, and initially performs well, although the sound is not as full as I'd wished for. After 4 weeks, the connection with the wire extension was sketchy to say the least, causing sound distortion and crackling if it was not twisted into a certain position. This was obviously a precursor to graver issues. Whilst using it with an Apple iPod it would decide to completely lose the vocal track, and I could only hear the backing track. The sound quality became unbearable, and at £129, I expected at least 2 years of use out of them. After 3 months of daily use, these headphones were unusable. They are now in the bin, a very expensive peice of plastic and wire. Not impressed. Avoid at all costs.

WARNING TO EVERYONE!
WARNING TO EVERYONE!I really like the headphone and I only used it few times, until recently when the control pad stopped working. I also notice that when I plugged it in my cell phone, I hear this pulsating noise and no sound coming out. I tried contacting the person to have it replace, so far no respond. It has been two weeks now.I wonder if this headphone was already faulty when sold to me.

Good fit
Has the great sound quality that you expect from Bose, but also has a great fit for sports headphones. I've grid various brands and one always jiggles free when running, but these are great and stay put throughout your run/workout

Awesome Gyming Earbuds
Amazing sound quality. I use these when attending the gym and it drowns out the terrible "motivational" music that my gym plays. Also means you do't have to listen to the local gym warrior going on about his last triathlon and such like. Fit my ears real nice too. Go Bose...
