Innovative Performance Chip/Power Programmer compatible with Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0L and 2.4L - Improve Your Fuel Mileage, Save Gas & Gain More MPG, Increase Horsepower & Torque!

Reluctantly bought this with the hopes it would improve my gas mileage. Not only has it improved the MPG it also made my 2010 Lancer a peppy ride.Has definitely increased performance and made the car fun to drive. Increases in the MPG have been impressive on the long road trips I take.

I own a used silver 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer ES (105k mileage) which sees 50/50 use on highway and city (suburb would be more accurate; no downtown block by block stop and go involved). While I'm please with the vehicle, the stock 120 HP makes it feel power-challenged when passing, accelerating, etc., so I'm always looking for relatively inexpensive ways to boost the power given the car's age. The only other modification made prior to the Performance Chip was installation of a cold air intake system by the original owner.I was a bit apprehensive doing the installation - being decidedly un-mechanical - but the Innovative Support Staff were brilliant. E-mailed me simple, easy to execute instructions.Day 1: not much difference; in fact, it seemed to idle slightly rougher.Day 2: faster start-up and smoother idle.Day 3: WOW! Smoother idle, stronger throttle response and noticeable gain in power throughout the acceleration curve.Have run through 3 tanks of gas (87 Octane/up to 10% ethanol) and consistently get an extra 4 mpg, and that is with me putting my foot into it more than I should. No change to engine sound other than a smoother version of the original; no obnoxious "performance enhanced " growl.The Innovative Performance Chip does exactly as promised. Delivery was fast, Support Team were responsive and helpful. It's put new life in an older car. Well worth the money spent both in terms of performance and fuel economy gains.

I feel the product was an easy install. I did though have to contact the company to locate which wires I had to use (the red and black w/ stripes). I’ve had the chip for 6 months and I’m not sure if I feel a drastic difference. I feel a little HP increase but not much. Definitely not a gas mileage increase. Overall this product helps but not by much.

So I bought this for my lancer. I even contacted them about installation. It was all easy, they helped and it does work! I noticed a difference when I accidentally unpluged it. Then I reset it over night and the next day it had more power. I also get 2mpg more. It isn't much but is noticible.

So far noticeable power gains and fuel mileage increased by 2-3 mpg

"Detailed instruction book" is a complete lie. The instructions contain 3 pages with generic information, absolutely not vehicle specific-- quite literally just "Disconnect the battery" on page one, and "Splice the wires" on another page, with no instructions.Seems this is the same product sold with multiple labels for different vehicles.Not even bothering to install it, can tell from the "instructions" alone that this is not a legitimate product, and will simply be a waste of money.Now, let's see if they stand by their return policy.

It completely messed my car up after having it in for a couple months.. i got stuck on the side of the road. got a tow company to tow me to dealership and they told me the chip completely messed up the computer in my car

Bought as gift then person bought it for read reviews and showed them to me. Should have read all the on-line reviews prior to buying and now can not return because it is past the allowed time frame for returns because I bought it early for the recipient so I could ensure I had it on time. Very dissapointing.
