First off, the machine does run hotter, I hear the fans now from time to time, when I didn't hear them at all before, but the flip side is I've got more memory in the machine now as well. Also I had to move the memory around a bit to keep the fans from running at full blast all the time (one stick was reporting an insanely high temp even after a cold boot, the Mac uses the temp reading off of two of the sticks). But my machine is much more stable (I had a dying stick) and performs quite a bit better with the extra headroom. And since moving the memory sticks around did knock down the noise considerably to something I consider acceptable, thereby avoiding a return, I'm giving 5 stars, but I'm noting your milage may vary.

Once installed, my MAC recognized all modules. After the next restart of my desktop, 1/2 of the modules were NEVER recognized again. Powered down my system, and re-installed modules, same result. Very disappointed. Only 1/2 of the 32Gb of memory modules ended up working.

Just what I needed to rejuvenate an aging machine that was once top of the line. It's screaming again, plenty of RAM for running multiple virtual machines. (BTW, did you know that Micron Technology made the original DIMMs in my Mac Pro and also made these DIMMs I just bought? Micron is an American company, HQ in Boise, and they still manufacture here. Now THAT'S a plus for me.

It was ok. One of the ram sticks turned out to be bad but I had one I was going to replace still good so I am up and running. Without returning them all and waiting not sure what to do about it. Came quick tho so I can't complain.
