Very surprised with the high quality...
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Very surprised with the high quality of this umbrella. For the price, I was expecting something not as nice. Fabric is very thick and stitching is sturdy. I did a short video on showing you what you get when you unbox the umbrella. I wish the sound was a little louder but I video taped it with my iPhone. My bad. If you found this video helpful please click on the Yes link. I would like to know if this was stupid or helpful. Just wondering. Thanks

Perfect for Summer
As you can see, I love my umbrellas, and this is nicer than my other one because it tilts for better shade coverage. It was even easier to assemble with a solid screw in application that will hold up in any kind of weather. Convenient and long wrap around strap also makes it stay put when it's down for those windy days. Perfect addition to my backyard oasis, where you can't have too much shade in Texas!!

Boat pedestal pole setup
Have not had this product on the lake yet but seems to be made well and I don't anticipate any issues with the wind. (Update: setup was very sturdy in high winds) The umbrellas ribs are made of square metal tubing rather than most that are wood or thinner round tubing. I decided to add two additional seats and utilize the existing pedestal base and pole. Pole diameter of the umbrella is 1.5 inches outer diameter, the same as the inner diameter of the pedestal pole. I cut 21 inches off the bottom pole of the umbrella to get the height I thought was bet for this application. You will have to push a small roll pin from the previous application towards the outide of pedestal pole to accommodate bottom half of the umbrella pole sliding in. I inserted bottom half of the pole all the way to the bottom of pedestal tube. Before inserting pole I used a sharpie to mark the plunger on the pedestal pole. I kept the lever up until the pole was completely seated then released the lever to transfer the sharpie mark to the umbrella pole as a reference for drilling holes. I drilled the proper size hole, which is a 1/4 inch drill bit for this pedestal so that it would lock the pole in place and not turn. If doing this, make sure the holes you drill are large enough to let the plunger button fully seat. I also added additional holes to raise it up or down. I tilted the umbrella back so that when opened it was centered up with middle of boat and made additional holes with the same process to lock it in from rotating in pedestal pole base. The pedestal pole I had used has a 3/4" threaded rod that goes into floor base. This setup had very good support and minimal movement when umbrella is installed. The bottom half of umbrella pole is threaded and has a secure fit to the upper assembly of umbrella. This setup was done on a 1991 Bass Tracker Panfish 16' with Springfeild marine pedestal post and base for reference. Somewhat of a tight fit but great for the kids or even two adults in the scorching summer heat. Hope this helps anyone out there looking for ideas on adding some shade to their boat. I couldn't find alot of ideas or pics for this type of setup and maybe this post will save others the trouble of figuring how to add some shade. Great price for umbrella and better quality than others I researched for the price.

Seems great.
From reading other reviews online, with some people reporting a bad experience, I hesitated to order this. However, I am glad that I decided to order it anyway (most of the reviews are positive), as it seems to be very good quality for its price. It has a nice vent at the top, to help it catch less wind than it otherwise might, but, of course, on a very windy day, it should not be open. The crank for opening and closing the umbrella operates smoothly, and gives a feel of quality. I have not had it long, however, so I cannot say how long it will hold up over time, but it has the look and feel of decent quality, much better than what I would normally expect at the price I paid. It looks very nice on my patio (I bought it in red).If I have problems with it, I plan on updating my review (and possibly changing my rating), but it seems like it is better than one should expect at the price. Of course, I do not expect it to be the best ever made, as that would be ridiculous to have such an expectation for such an inexpensive umbrella, but this, so far, *seems* like it is the best umbrella I have ever owned. Certainly, it is the best looking one.

Great umbrella but some issues
A well made umbrella, and I'm sure it will last many seasons. The tilt button Is so high up that unless you are a six footer you have to stand on a chair to operate it. This is dangerous and inconvenient.Update on Review:The tilt mechanism broke a few days after the Amazon return date, but I emailed the supplier about the problem and they promptly shipped me a replacement umbrella. This was great service. I would buy from them again.

Very sturdy
I have given this a 5 star rating for quality, however, be aware that the umbrella doesn't cover a 7 1/2 ft width. Opened it's only about 7ft. Not a problem for us as it was for a small patio, but it could be a problem if you have a larger area to shade.

Great patio umbrella
I have been shopping for a Red 7-1/2ft patio umbrella with push button tilt and crank lift since last year. No store in our area carried at 71/2 with tilt. Living in a condo with a small balcony my choices are limited on size. A friend suggested checking Amazon and within seconds I found exactly what I wanted. Delivery was within 2 days and the product met all of my expectations. Can't wait to seat out on the balcony with a great patio umbrella to protect from the sun.

Lots of shade without the bulk of a pergola
Love this umbrella. It gives full shade for a six person table set, especially with the tilt feature (which works great). But it isn't bulky like a pergola in my garden space. Oversized umbrella was the way to go. Colour is rich and so far fade resistant. Operates very nicely and has a sturdy construction. Just don't cheap out on your umbrella base, because this thing is heavy duty! I went with a 50 lb cast iron, which was the heaviest I could find, and it is working nicely. I would not recommend opening the umbrella in heavy winds because it will take your table with it, it's like a sail. A testament to it's sturdiness I guess.

Nice size and color.
9ft. umbrella fits nicely on my deck. I like the color, and the crank works smoothly. The tilt button is too high up for me and I have to use a vhair to reach it.The top cap of the umbrella arrived broken (see attached pics) and I should have a replacement sent to me.
