Sturdy, easy to use, from a reputable brand
There are so many kitchen timers out there, I know it's hard to choose. But I am happy that I got this one. Prior to this I bought another one on Amazon (the popular model that comes with different brands, all with pretty good star ratings). It was nice for a few weeks, then the sound became muted and not audible from a distance. Also, it kept falling from the refrigerator (there was a magnet on the back) when I pressed it too hard. After that, I decided not to get anything similar and to go with a familiar brand. This KitchenAid timer was one of the very few options and the cheapest. I am very happy I bought this. It stays on the countertop but occupies only a small space. It looks very sturdy. It's also very easy to use (but most timers are), and the sound is loud enough. I wish I had spent a few dollars more to buy this instead of the popular one.

Works and looks great!
This timer replaces a cheap simple timer, that still works but looks dated, with this classy looking and simple to use kitchen timer. It's a kitchen timer that works and has a fairly loud beeper at the end of a timed cycle. It will continue to beep for a full minute before going silent, plenty of time to get your attention. The Black and Chrome finish of my model fits the Black and Stainless look of my kitchen very well. One nice operating feature is after a timing event the display goes blank to conserve battery life. Press a key to set a new timing event and the display comes to life.Nice, simple and useful. Recommended.

I like them so much I bought two. Retired professional chef. Tried them all.
The timer is accurate, easy to use and nearly indestructible. The old spring driven one got so worn and inaccurate that it had to go in the garbage. I have had several of the other brand three button type, which allow you to program seconds, minutes and hours. They are accurate, but not durable. After a couple of years in the kitchen the delicate electronics get rusty and corroded, the display starts to fail so you can only see some of the bars of each number, and then they die. This one doesn't have seconds, and at my age, I don't care. It is durable - I dropped on it on the hardwood floor and it didn't get a scratch. It is built to last. And I like that. The beep is loud. I bought two of them, so I can time the roast and the broccoli at the same time. I also use one for hour and a half naps. It works great as a short term alarm clock.

Nice for regular, short times; terrible for long times
The good:* It's nicely built with buttons that feel nice.* It's weighted well, so it won't move around when you press buttons on it.* It's quick and easy to use (but see below). It's my preferred timer when I need a timer for less than 15 minutes (say). The bad:* It only has one timer. Many competing timers can set multiple timers simultaneously.* You can't set seconds (but usually that's not very important to me).The ugly:* It's borderline unusable for medium-long times. It only has "minute" and "hour" buttons, so if you want to set a timer for 50 minutes you'll need to press the minute button 50 times. I don't understand why they didn't add a "10 minute" button (or even replace the hour button with such a button) -- how often do you set a timer for multiple hours?

Easy to set and timer beeps a full minute
This was a gift for elderly friend who usually is late taking her Parkinson meds some 5 x day. I thought she might think it too much trouble pumching in every minutes at a time, but she was very excited. She had not found anything that allowed more than 1 hr and her time for meds varies around time she eats. She can now set exactly what she needs and hears it very well anywhere in her home. I like that it beeps for a min so very little chance of her not hearing it.It is dark blue, looks nice on her counter. We both liked it is a Kitchenaid, too, so I won't need to replace it next year. Highly recommend.

Easy to Operate, Works Great
This easy-to-operate digital timer which looks great, doesn’t take up a lot of room & sits securely on an end table. There are Hours, Minutes, Stop & Start buttons. If multiple hours or minutes are desired, just hold down the appropriate button. When the buzzer goes off, it must be shut off manually which is perfect, so it’s more likely the buzzer will be heard (if taking a nap, or if called away, etc). Definitely recommend. Like the blue.

Works great!
I watched on 'Create-America's Test Kitchen' when they were testing timers, and I searched a bunch of others. I'm so glad I chose this one. The 'ding' is definitely loud enough in at least one room away from it (or you could always take it with you to another room). Also, it doesn't just beep once, like another one I have, it continues for at least a minute or till you shut it off. It's easy to use and if it gets dirty, a simple wipe with a damp cloth or sponge and it's fine. Easy to read dial and if you put the wrong time in...you just hit Stop, and start over. I love it!

THIS is the best timer I've ever had
THIS is the best timer I've ever had! It is very easy to operate and looks nice & sleek on the counter top. The alarm continues to sound until you push the stop button, so you will never mistakenly burn something in the oven again. The volume of the alarm is perfect --not too loud, not too soft. The timer does beep each time you add a minute, but I found that rather helpful than annoying. The design seems sturdy and easy to hold. However, with the angled design, there really is no reason to pick it up. Great product.
