great for everday use
bought this for my dad, as a back up to the knife he currently had. his current knife is over 35 years old, it was so worn the grip on it was smooth lol. he was so excited this is the exact knife he has except new. he wasnt used to the nice new spring folding knife and sharp blade when he went to put it away his cut his pants haha so it is “a knife”.

Little guy
Tough to sharpen this guy, one of the scales fell off for no apparent reason. I did not abuse the thing, only used it to open boxes and other light household chores. Now it is being used as a letter opener.

Awesome knife!
I love this classy, little knife. It isn't an EDC knife for me, but that isn't why I bought it. It lives in my desk drawer for when I need it. That's not to say you couldn't carry it every day, I just don't because it doesn't have a pocket clip. I hate having knives floating around at the bottom of my pocket. It has the three qualities I've found in all Kershaw knives: Excellent materials, excellent build quality, excellent value. I'll keep buying Kershaw knives as long as they keep up those three things.

Excellent pocket knife!
Because of its compact size, I originally purchased this knife for my grandson. The knife has a locking blade that is very sharp and heavy duty for its size. I liked the knife so much, I bought a second knife for myself!

Good Knife! Incorrect List Price!!
There are 4 knives in this series from Kershaw; smallest to largest they are, 1. Grant County, 2. Corral Creek, 3. Black Gulch and 4. Wildcat Ridge. I own the first 3 in this series, have used them and have sold them; being a vendor at Gun & Knife Shows for several years. They are very good knives! This is a very old knife pattern and has been manufactured by everybody and their brother too. What makes these knives stand out for me is Kershaw's use of a Zinc Alloy for the bolsters and frame. The vast majority of this style of knife have been produced with brass. I personally do not care for brass in knives because it is so easy to oxidize and you see this oxidation. In fact brass will turn black if left alone long enough. While zinc alloy will ozidize as well, the oxidation does not change colors nor does it effect the finish of the metal like it does on brass. These knives are very sturdy in construction and their lock up, being a lockback knife. A lot of folks will tell you that a lockback mechanism is the simplist and best way to lock a knife in the open position and I tend to agree, for the most part.AUS6A blade steel is a very servicable steel, depending on who makes it and how it is hardened. In this case, and with most Kershaw knives, they do an excellent job. The cross grooved ABS inserts on the handle provide adequate grip of the knife. (This is the only reason I took a star away, these handle scales will wear out and damage easier than say, G10 material) These knives are also available in a jigged bone insert and a hardwood insert and both of these knives have 8Cr13MoV blade steel (better blade steel) but I've actually only seen them in Kershaw's 2010 catalog. It my mind, this is a very good choice for a small pocket knife you might carry everyday for light to moderate usage. My personal experience as far as using them includes this knife, the Corral Creek and the smaller one, Grant County. I have sharpened those knives (sharpening knives is a service I provide) and they sharpen easily and maintain their edge for a decent amount of time. These are small knives and I used them mainly to open carboard boxes (100's of them), cut different types of tape, cut string, cord, small diameter rope of different materials, plastic strapping and open envelopes; and they hold up very well. I have rarely had to use a course belt (80 to 120 grit) to reshape the bevel when sharpening and instead, I use a grit of 400 to 600 that will bring the burr up nicely after 2-3 passes, then I polish off the burr with felt and they are ready for work again. Now I can't attest to their durability or cutting prowess for more heavier duty activities but I don't think the size of these knives would include those type of activities overall. Here's a word of caution for this knife and many others here on Amazon. The 'List Price' posted above is wrong. 'List Price' set by the manufacturer is $29.95 (Kai USA, parent company for Kershaw). I've reported this to Customer Service but have no idea if they will correct it. I'll refain from my personal feeling on why it has been posted wrong but whenever buying a knife or any other merchandise here on Amazon or anywhere else, try to verify the list price so you will know for sure if the price you're paying is half-way decent. Don't get me wrong, the current price is fine but the percentage off list is not what's shown and for me, that is important.
