I always love the quality of Kershaw knives
I always love the quality of Kershaw knives. This is a great model. It has a nice sharp edge to it and is very tough. Mechanically it works exquisitely. My Kershaw always comes with me where ever I go.

Kershaw black pocket lock back .
Great. Knife for the price. Kershaw quality shows. The turnaround on this item was spectacular. Ordered through Prime and had it in my hands in two days. Bought it as a present for the grand sons birthday but the one one carry and use is super. I would five star this knife and Amazon service.

You Like It or You Don't
I can't compete with reviewers who know a lot about materials, sharpening or reputation. I just see what I like and get it. If I look at it and it appears cheap, or doesn't feel good in my hand, or isn't sharp out of the box., chances are it'll go back. You also can have great difficulty evaluating a knife from just knowing the blade length or weight. Kershaw makes several knives that look exactly the same in the pictures. The Black Gulch is one of them. One thing I've noticed over time is, even though 'China' may be stamped on the blade, it does not mean it is an inferior in any way to American made.Knowing my limited knowledge you can take this for what it's worth. This is an excellent knife, and the price makes it a bargain (<$20). It is large and has a lot of heft, so it is not a pocket knife you're going to be carrying in your business suit. But if you're looking to have a knife that will hold up to heavy use, this fits the bill.No flipping it open with one hand, or impressing your friends with some unique feature. It is a simple lockback knife that takes a little effort to open, and a little more to close. But if you'd rather have a nice knife than a $20 bill, pick one up. You won't be disappointed.

Great pocket knife
It was exactly like the first one I had, many years ago. Was packaged up nicely. The plastic clam shell was a lot tougher to open than it looked. The knife has a great feeling of quality and weight to it, and I love the old style locking mechanism. In my opinion it could have been a little sharper. No big deal, I got my sharpening stone and leather strap, and in a few minutes I had the knife sharper than a scaple. I wish they still made the smaller version of this style of knife.

Good Knife.
I bought this to replace one that I had lost. It is really sharp and has a good weight to it. The inlay is plastic and the blade made in china, but what do you expect for fifteen dollars.

This is a good, strong work knife that fits my hand just right. It keeps a edge very well. This is my second Kershaw, same lines as the small one I bought with a small blade, good for everyday use.
