YGS-Tech 3 Inch LED Recessed Lighting Dimmable Downlight, 5W(40W Halogen Equivalent), 5000K Daylight White, CRI80, LED Ceiling Light with LED Driver (4 Pack)

I purchased two sets of four lights (the 3", 5W, 3000K), one set for the top of a murphy bed and the other for above a desk. Installation was easy, I used a 2 5/8" hole saw and it worked perfectly for the 3" lights. I have the murphy bed lights on a touch switch dimmer and they work without any flicker. I did have one problem, one of the power supplies was making a low level oscillating sound. I contacted YGS-Tech and they promptly sent out a replacement and that took care of the problem. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Poor packaging resulting in scratched paint. I ordered two boxes separately, hoping the second box would have less scratched lights. Unfortunately not. There is no padding for the lights, they just rub around on cardboard as they are shipped. Would be a good product with better packaging.Also note that these lights don’t dim all the way to be off like other lights. However the minimum dim works nicely for a night light to be able to see at night.

I bought 40 of these lights to install in beams throughout my house. They worked great and look great. The problem is after a week of using them I have already had two of the drivers burn out. I am not sold on the longevity/safety of these lights. I wish I would have known sooner. Hopefully the company will send replacement lights because I spent hours making this project work only to have lights that burn out.Update:. 2 days later I just had two more drivers burn out. Beware. If you get these lights be sure you have them in a place where they are easily replaceable. At this rate a quarter of my lights will be burnt out by the end of the 1st month of using them

Installation is easy. It comes with wire clips, just 2 wires (load and neutral) and it doesn’t matter which goes to which clip. These were a direct replacement of LED low profile lights I installed back in 2013 which most have now failed. These lights are just a fraction of the cost of what I used before. The spring clips holds the light firmly in place. Dimming looks great also.

Great product at this price. If you need a cut out template like the guy above , you shouldn't be installing these.

Little smaller than I was expecting, but that's on my end . The quick connect that came with it do not work very well. Expect to have to use some other wire retention. I used wego's but wire nuts will work fine.

So far so good they put out a good amount of light and they dim pretty well. I would give it 5 star but the wire connectors don’t work well kinda loose and like to fall off. I just replaced them with some of better quality.

The wire clips do not hold well with thin house wireThere’s no place /clip for ground wire and did not come with a junction box like most 4 in lightsBUT they’re great for lighting small areas like closets
