sometimes gives a fan failure message on startup.
This was a perfect fit, but right from the start this fan made a ticking noise. I could not find anything obstructing the fan - and it did not make the noise when you turned it by hand. I put the laptop back together, as a little noise was better than the non functional fan I took out.I have not replaced it yet, as it works most of the time, but occasionally I can tell it has stopped as my laptop gets very hot. I will be replacing this soon.
