Lenox Tools 1779810 3.25-Inch Pilot Drill Bit for Hole Saw Arbors

These 1/4 inch pilot bits are very durable. They are made in the United States, which I care very much about purchasing USA made products. After Hansen Went out of business, these are the drill bits that I would always purchase. The price was very reasonable.

Breaks and dulls easily

This provided new life for a hole saw that had a horribly dull pilot. Dropped in and secured with no problem, good to go in an instant, and works like a champ.

Great drill bit, not a good fit for Milwaukee hole hog carbide tipped. Bit falls a little short. Go with the 4 inch bit

Just long enough for longer hole saw. Wish I bought 3.5 or 4". Looks and feels like a decent bit.

My Lenox hole saw kit arrived with two of these and I've broken one. I was cutting a hole on my drill press and forgot to center the clearance hole so the bit hit steel and cracked clean across the shaft. They are brittle but at least there's no hole in my drill press table. The bit has a flat shaft at the rear end for tightening the hex nut against so standard round drill bits won't work. You need these.
