Emergency Must-Have
This emergency bivvy sack is exactly what it claims to be - for emergencies. If you are planning on extended exposure in harsh enviroments, this product isn't for you. However, if you need a sufficient, bare bones way to stay warm during an emergency or unexpected night in the wilds, this is the ticket.Where this product shines is it's weight-to-warmth ratio. Weighing less than a pound, and having the size of roughly two fists, this is an excellent addition to any bug out bag or vehicle emergency kit. This product alone should not be considered a sleeping system, but rather an enhancement to your current system, or used in conjuction with bush craft skills that lend themselves to keeping a person warm.

Compact, light, durable
Very small package when rolled. Easy to get back in the package. A durable and useful product that can be used many times.

must have item
I was very impressed with this. I was on a survival course weekend, and did not have a regular sleeping bag. This item is very light weight and kept me so warm that I ended up sleeping on top of it for one of the nights. It reflects a lot of body heat. Even if you are not going to use this as a sleeping bag (as I did). If you are in a tent and unfold it to use as a ground mat, you will be amazed what a difference it makes to the temperature. Keep one of these in your car / backpack. Takes up a lot less space than a blanket and does offer some water resistance if you need to use it as a shelter in the rain.Every hiking / camping / motorcycle trip, this is going with me

It is NOT the Thermolite 2.0!!!!!!! Be careful!!!!!
I ordered the SOL Thermolite 2.0. I was under the impression that i was paying $30 for the Thermolite 2.0, which was $10 more than the SOL Thermal Bivvy. Instead I received the SOL THERMAL BIVVY. So it feels as if I paid $10 more for super fast delivery of the Thermal Bivvy rather than receiving the newer Thermolite 2.0. Hence the 2 stars, the shipping was super fast. I ordered the product late on Saturday night, received the product early morning on Monday. Better than having to wait for a week or longer to find out I've received a product i didn't order. Kind of disappointed...

I expected more for the price.
Took this out on a summer survival adventure in WA in the Olympic Cascades. It got really cold. I don't know how cold exactly but I would guess in the 40s. I had 2 jackets, a hoodie, several shirts, shorts, pants, socks, a winter hat, etc, and 2 bivy's including this one. I was so cold I think I probably got a total of about 5-30 minutes of sleep. I think they claim 80% body heat is reflected back but it felt more like 5%. Plus when I was opening up the velcro tabs, the bivy ripped. The fabric is just flimsy. Overall it seems useful, but for $30, I think i'd have been better off spending another few bucks and getting an ultralight sleeping bag or something. I dunno. It's really not a bad product, i guess, but it does seem expensive for something that doesn't seem to do that much.

The sleeping bag you can carry anywhere. Perfect
I love to visit the jungle and if you do not have a hammock you definitely have to sleep on the ground, which is not safe, so uncomfortable and dangerous. But if you have no choice , this sleeping bag is the perfect solution, unlike the traditional sleeping bags (large, bulky, heavy and impractical) this friend is quite the opposite, but it would never let you unprotected against the cold.It is very practical and durable, constructed with great quality. Though it takes a little practice and effort to return to its original size packaging is the best option with which you could have in an emergency or survival situation. The carry bag is very useful and practical

Great Compact Product
This is a great product. I carry this on every hike. In the winter, I carry a thermo max bag liner as well both are small enough to fit in your hand. If I were to decide to stay overnight I am prepared. You get a lot of bang for your buck and performance for weight. Get one, better to have it and not need it than the alternative.
