Just clip on pot - connect app - cook perfectly
We have Sous Vide cooking for over a year and wanted to get one for my mother. She has never done this bath water cooking so we wanted a unit that simple to use. After this was delivered we paid her a visit and did a quick demo. This just clips on the stock pot and doors not have the bracket and screw like our older and more expensive model. We cooked 4 New York Strip steaks medium rare, the meat came out perfectly cooked from end to end. We put some seasoning and butter on the steaks and they was fantastic. The meat just need a grilling to create the crust and remove the grey skin look and then the meat was ready to eat. The meat gets a better infusion of flavor when seasoning/marinading and then cooking the food, vs seasoning after it was cooked during the searing process. It's also easy to connect to WiFi and this using the CTO app eco system. The App is simple and easy for a 70 year old to navigate. You don't need the app to operate it, but I found it easier to monitor from my phone and told her just keep the phone with you instead of spending two hours in the kitchen waiting.

The good and the bad...
This is a good option if you are new to sous vide, or don't plan to sous vide a lot because of the toxins. For the money this is a good value, however, it does have some areas of concern. First, the company appears to no longer be in business. When you go to the website that's printed on the products box, well, there is no website. Just the host trying to resale the URL. I found this out the hard way when I couldn't find the Wi-Fi app for this unit. So even though they say it's got Wi-Fi, well it technically might, but you can't use it because the app is nonexistent. If I ever come across the app I will update this review. Not having Wi-Fi isn't as bad as it sounds because no other sous vide immersion circulator in this price range has Wi-Fi either. Just don't buy this unit simply because it "says" it has Wi-Fi or you will be sorely disappointed. Other than that this unit is fairly straight forward to manually use. I must note however that this sous vide immersion circulator is a bit loud. When I first turned it on it sounded like a boat motor. After around its first hour of use it did get a little bit quieter, but not much. There is also some sort of grinding noise, which is weird because there is nothing to grind. It appears to be just a poor propeller design. My previous immersion circulator was a ChefSteps Joule, but it sadly only lasted a few years even though it was built really well. I haven't had a chance to test the temperature accuracy of this immersion circulator but I will, and I'll update this review with that information. For the money this is a good value, just know its limitations before you buy it.

Get what you pay for.
Went with this unit because I figured why spend so much on basically a water heater. It's very simple to setup and use, and ive used it for 4-6 hour periods about 5 times now. My biggest and really only problem with it is after about 20-45 mins it sounds like something is clicking in the unit. It sounds like maybe a fan or a moving piece is clipping the side of the unit or something. Honestly idk and I don't feel like taking it apart as it still circulates the water and keeps it as desired temp. Overall it does exactly what it says just very noisily.

Works well
Have used this 3 times so far, for tenderloin steaks, salmon and chicken thighs. It takes a little practice to get the seasoning down. There aren't many recipes for fish in the cookbook which is included. Had to buy a new container to cook in because we didn't have a large enough one with the right geometry--I guess other cookers come with a bowl/container.The cooker works well. Glad we went with the higher wattage. The meat is tender and tasty!

Excellent Value for the Price
The good: great temperature control, timer, convenient, includes recipe book, priceThe bad: minor interface inconveniencesI just got it yesterday and I already cooked a great meal with it of herbed chicken and beats and it worked like a charm. I used recipes from the included book and they worked well with delicious results. The only thing I didn't care for was a very minor lack of responsiveness from the interface that kept me from realizing that it was capable of both adjusting the temperature faster and changing the temperature while it was running.Overall an excellent device, especially for the price.

works as advertised
We have used the sous vide cooker for several perfectly cooked meats. The instructions were clear and the device is easy to use. Now I am looking to buy a dedicated container with lid which is a bit tricky. Each sous vide cooker has slightly different size specifications for the lid cut out and I am having trouble finding one for this exact model.

YES, SOUS VIDE!!
New to this type of cooking I have not found anything I dislike about this product. The ease of use says it all!! So easy to work with the simple control panel. Love that it dosent have a million useless buttons on as some I had looked at did. Clip seems really durable. Time will tell. So far I am in LOVE with my Sous Vide!!!!!
