Joby Convertible Camera Neck Strap
When I got a Sony a6000 I picked up the Joby strap intending to detach the long neck piece and use the wrist strap part exclusively. I'd gotten into the habit of carrying my old DSLR with it's neck strap wrapped around my wrist as it would just bang around way too much when worn around my neck. I found though that since the a6000 is so light it's not bad at all wearing it around my neck. I still carry the camera a lot as well and so I just keep the whole Joby strap -- neck and wrist sections -- intact so I can go either way. The strap is "floppily" flexible and does a great job of staying wrapped so it never gets in the way when shooting the camera. As an aside, I've been wearing my camera around my neck this winter tucked inside my jacket to keep it warm. The neck strap is so comfortable and the camera so light I don't even know I'm wearing it half the time and it helps keep the batteries warm -- the a6000 eats through them like crazy, but keeping them warm is supposed to help. Another feature I really liked was the ease with which it attaches to the camera lugs. each strap end that attach to the lugs is a loop of very strong cording that fits easily through the lugs. It was the easiest time that I've ever had putting a strap on a camera. Some of the combination straps that I considered before finding the Joby use metal loops and carabiners as quick release mechanisms, and I could just see myself stuffing the strap into my camera bag in a hurry and scratching the camera or it's monitor with them. I give this Joby strap 5 stars because It does exactly what it is supposed to do, it is strong, flexible, comfortable, easy to detach and attach, and is a nice width, and there are no garish logos on it!

It's a really nice convertible strap!
It's a really nice convertible strap! Using it on my Canon M50 mirrorless, a perfect fit! It would be overloaded for my full frame Nikon D810, but for a compact or small SLR form factor it's a good choice. I use it in all 3 modes, my hands are slightly large and I only have a little issue in the one hand strap set up, but if I easily slide the strap retention guide down it works. This should only affect very large hand people in the short mode. I really like this strap and highly recommend it, at this price point of $19 it is a steal!

Lightweight and nice features, just needs to be a little longer.
This strap is very light and thin, even thinner than the ones that come with most DSLRs, but it's plenty strong and has some very nice features. Don't get it to carry a big, heavy, full frame DSLR, but it's perfect for the very light and compact Nikon D5500 I got it for. My only complaint is that it's just a little too short, even with all the extensions out all the way. If you want to carry it across your chest with the camera on one side, it might be difficult to do if you're tall. I like straps that can be detached easily, and the wrist strap is a very nice feature.

The perfect strap combo
This strap worked perfectly on my recent vacation to Austria. I wanted a strap that I could wear several ways ( around my neck or over my neck and 1 shoulder) for when I was hiking but that I could still easy remove the strap for picture taking in cities, etc with out the whole strap on so I could put the camera in my purse. I used the OP/TECH USA 1301112 Mini QD Loops - 1mm - System Connectors to connect to my camera which worked out perfectly. Using this combination I could use the neck strap or easily just unlink the ends and still have the wrist strap. Great product and well made.

A TRULY CRAPPY PRODUCT
This is a truly crappy product. Very difficult to adjust. Comes very strangely "locked and loaded". When you unhook the neck strap, the one side attached to the camera remains very long. However, with scissors and gaffer tape and lots of time and patience, you can make it work, but I would not use it with a large, heavy camera. I'm using it with a small micro four-thirds camera.

I gave it away to someone who may need it and also like the idea
When set up as a hand strap, its not the right length for my hand, not long enough or short enough depending on how I look it. I wish it was adjustable as a hand strap, but it is not. Otherwise, well made. I gave it away to someone who may need it and also like the idea.

Perfect strap!
I really like the convenience of being able to switch between a wrist and neck strap, and I like that it connects to the strap hooks on the sides of my cameras (Sony Nex 5R and a6000) rather than using the tripod mount. I use the wrist strap the vast majority of the time and it is really great--lightweight, easy to adjust the size, easy to get on and off--but the neck strap is not the most comfortable and caused me a little bit of chafing before I added padding to it.I've used my first strap for ~2 years, including during several very active outdoors trips, and it is still in like-new condition.

Clever, well made product with some unfortunte limitations
Clever. Versatile. Solid materials and well made. A little fiddly perhaps, but not as bad as anticipated, and the short strap across the camera configuration just seems like silly hype. The neck strap configuration is good only as a neck strap and is too short to carry the camera as a shoulder strap across the chest--wish it was longer and will add some more webbing eventually. The wrist strap has been the most useful (used this way 90+% of the time). It would be nice if the wrist strap had another inch of length as well.

Well done.
An excellent camera strap with the added bonus of being converted to a wrist strap.

Versatile and a Pleasure to Use!
This is so clever. You can use this as a wrist strap to replace the "standard" one that comes with most compact cameras, or as a short carry handle, or as a neck strap, and the product can be swapped between these in just a couple of seconds. It is just one of those simple but great ideas, executed perfectly, that is a pleasure to use. Unless you want a thick strap for a heavier camera, this is the one to go for.

Delivers on promise
The original strap that came with my Panasonic GX7 was OK but I also wanted something to give a secure hold on the camera without the strap. The Joby combination strap seemed like a nifty solution. I have used it on a 2 week trip to Hong Kong and was quite happy with it. I used it in three ways: as shoulder strap, as wrist strap and wrapped 3 times around my wrist as an improvised wrist strap which I used to do with the old one. I never detached the longer part like they do in the video, didn't feel necessary. The material is marketed as some soft and supple "French" whatever and it is really nice. It lacks the separate wider part for shoulder/neck that normal straps usually have. I find them annoying as they tend to be stiff. On the Joby, the strap itself gradually widens toward midlength instead so stays soft and bendable throughout and feels very nice to the touch as well. It's a very tightly woven nylon affair and seems to be of high quality and very strong. The wrist strap works just the way it should: easy to tighten and loosen with the slider. The only (very small) complaint would be that the slider could be smaller and more inconspicuous as you can occasionally feel its edges against your wrist. Not sure why it has a second slot. Seems redundant. However, there are double rubber rings to hold the strap ends. I replaced the wrist strap tightener with one of them. Problem solved. I consider I got a lot for rather little money.
