The system is DVGW Certified to safely prevent 99.6% of scale build-up. It is recommended that the Sediment Filter for the THD-NS3 Pelican Water Whole House NaturSoft Salt-Free Water Softener System be replaced every 6-9 months, depending on the amount of sediment present in the water supply. If the system has been working properly and the pressure is slowing, it may be time to change the Sediment Filter. To treat iron in your water you would need either our Pelican Water WF1054 or WF1354 Iron/Manganese filtration systems. Unfortunately we do not sell these systems through Amazon.com.
