There Is a Bird On Your Head! An Elephant and Piggie Book

Very funny and good for new readers

7yo loves these books! It was a Christmas gift and she immediately read them time & time again. Great to pass on down to siblings as well. Easy to read for beginners.

Funny and entertaining book for my two 6 year olds. My 8 year old loves reading it to them and, as with all our Mo Willems Books, is requested often. My 6 year olds love the silliness and emotions in the story. They connect to the characters and also like that they can recognize or sound out some words and read parts of the story independently now that they are learning to read. Great for building confidence with beginning readers, quick bedtime stories, and lots of smiles and laughs from your littles. ❤️

This book is a hit in our house! There Is a Bird On Your Head! is simple, silly, and super engaging! My kids laugh every time we read it. The dialogue between Gerald (the elephant) and Piggie is playful and expressive, and the repeating phrases make it perfect for early readers.

For my seven-year-old dyslexic granddaughter‘s birthday I gave her this book. She was so excited because she could read some of the words. I will be working with her to help build her confidence by using this book as a confidence builder.

I love Elephant and Piggie books. Both of my kids were introduced to them in Kindergarten and they were motivated to try to read. After reading the Bob Books, and Go Dog Go, I would say that these are some of the most approachable books for early readers. This one is cute and funny for kids and grown-ups to enjoy together. Birds have begun to nest on Gerald’s head and he is not happy about it. Piggie is being her “glass is half full” self and that’s not helping… there is a super funny ending though!

My son really likes this series of children's books.

My granddaughter loves this book. She giggles every time we read it. It is well written and has a cute story. Mo Willems writes a great book and Piggie and Elephant speaks a kids language.

A la base, ce livre a été écrit pour les 3 ans anglophones. C'est donc un vrai album d'une rare qualité. On trouve facilement des vidéos sur internet dans lesquelles on peut écouter lire le livre, donc cela permet un travail de fond impressionnant avec les élèves. Le professeur n'a plus peur de "mal prononcer". à recommander à tous les enfants et adultes qui apprennent l'anglais.
