Amazing improvement
I had a lower body lift and medial thigh lift following a massive weight loss. The plastic surgeon told me that using silicone scar strips after the incisions were fully healed would help minimize their texture and appearance. I ordered these partly because I needed a lot of long, narrow strips to cover the extensive incision lines and partly because these only have to be replaced every 2 weeks as opposed to every week for the regular version. (I need 3 boxes to cover all my incisions, the expense of replacing every week was definitely a factor.)I wear them for the recommended 12 hours overnight, and they are so comfortable I don't even notice them under my compression garment. I started wearing them as soon as the doctor said my incisions were closed enough to do so, around 7 weeks post op.I remove them each morning before I get dressed for my run. I wash then with soap and warm water, then hang on a towel rack to dry. With this method, they still had substantial adhesive ability at the 2 week mark.I know it takes months for optimal results, but I noticed improvement in the thickest, roughest scar tissue the very first night. Each day when I remove them, the scar lines seem a little smoother and a little less thick.I'm not as good at judging the color change, but a friend who had seen my vivid incisions 2 weeks before I started using these said they couldn't believe how much the color had faded in such a short time. And I can tell that a few small spots that had been lighter to begin with are already approaching normal skin color.I'm sincerely blown away by how effective these have been in just a few weeks on my extensive scars and will absolutely both continue to use them for these, and well also include them in my post op plan for my upper body lift as well.

Save yourself my rambling review and just buy these. MAGIC for c-section scars.
I don't even care if this sounds like a fake review (it is NOT and I did not receive these at a discount/free or any of that) - this is how I really feel: THESE THINGS ARE MAGIC. IT'S A FRICKIN' MIRACLE WORKER on your scar. I want to shout it from the rooftops but that would be weird.Okay, now I'll tone it down - I cannot believe the difference these things make. My c-section scar is now 7 months old, and since then I have been using Mederma and every oil under the sun to try and shrink this ugly shark bite looking scar - and for the past few months I have seen NO difference using any of those products. I really thought I would be stuck with this big red ugly scar forever. I saw someone mention silicone scar sheets on a blog, and thought it was worth a try. After ONLY 5 days of using these sheets, I swear my scar is 50% better, is without a doubt less raised and has lost its red color and is blending better with the skin around it. There's no medication in these sheets - they work by protecting the area and keeping the moisture in, which helps the scar heal. DUH!! The stuff I was putting on it before was probably just rubbing off on my clothes. The best part is that these strips are re-usable - I purchased the $50 pack of 2, and I'm not even sure I'll have to use both boxes. Just wash with warm water and a bit of soap, let air dry, and stick them back onto the plastic strip that comes in the box. I alternate between two strips since one is always drying. MIRACLE I TELL YOU.

Comfortable, reusable, very very sticky, prone to getting dirty.
(Note: I didn't use them on a C section but on a different long scar on my chest.) It's hard to say whether they helped the scar heal faster than if I hadn't used them because scar appearance has a lot to do with genetics and other environmental factors. I am happy with the rate of healing and they were comfortable. Downsides: when taking them off of the storage strips they have a tendency to curl back on themselves and I found it nearly impossible to unstick them from themselves. (They peel off your skin easily with no pain, though.) God help you if you get hair on it because I could not get it to wash off even with soap. Between uses, I would store these in a closed cabinet or sealed container so household dust and airborne pet hair can't stick to them. I think I got 6-8 uses out of each strip before they started to fall off. Note: it was winter and I was not very active so I didn't sweat much. I wouldn't' bother with these if I had a physical job, I think they'd fall off.

I would totally recommend this product
I bought the ScarAway C-Section strips in anticipation of having my second c-section and wanting a scar much smaller and lighter in colour than the scar from my first c-section. Plans changed and my second child was delivered normally, but I decided to try to strips on my 2 year old scar anyway. I bought 2 boxes and used the strips every day for about 3 months, switching between 2 strips – wearing one while the other was washed and dried. I was blown away by how much my scar was reduced in both size and colour. It's still visible, but so much less so. I would totally recommend this product!!

I think it works!
My first c-section scar didn't heal very well and I had keloids so I used this for my second c-section. I started use after week 6 of recovery, I think my scar looks way better! It isn't as discolored and you can't really feel the actual incision. I also stayed in recline for most of my 4 week recovery which really helped the scar heal as well because it reduces swelling and scar tissue.

... the scar bandade is turning red and exudes a foul odor, despite the fact my wound is closer
Just got back from my 3 month post partum obgyn visit who adviced me to immediately STOP using the scar strips. My C-section wound is closed (alcohol and peroxide does not sting it upon wiping the area)- but I've noticed that whenever I have the scar strip on, sores and blisters would show up. Even wearing it as directed for half a day, the stench of rotten flesh would fester. This is not due to my own, as I always keep the scar site clean by wiping at every 12 hours with alcohol, then dry it. What makes the bandage worst is that it also makes you more prone to ingrown hairs. I had followed the instruction to a T....contacted seller about the unopened box; however she was not amenable to a partial refund of the unused box. Would not recommend. *pictures show how the bandage always creates open sores at the site of incision
