This a a gift. Hasn’t been used yet. I did put the battery in-it does beep!

Works perfect! First day used saved a lot of trouble when digging after a ground detector finds a spot. This guy makes it much easier to see if its still in hole or dig pile

Have about 20 hours on it and its working great . The battery that came with it didn’t last long , I thought the gp pointer was broken because it just keep beeping , turns out it does that when the battery is dead . Would suggest bringing a good quality 9volt with you . It is finding metal about 2” away The tombac button was the first thing I used it on . Very happy with purchase .

It works as it should. I am new to the hobby w a vanquish 440 and use it as my pointer. It does pin point objects and seems well made.

I purchased this item to find a couple of items that I had recently lost in my backyard.I understand that it was a low-cost item but it had very good reviews and seems like it would be able to do the job.I followed the directions turned on the The GP metal detector with pinpointing tip and it seem to be working.I tested it on a couple of household items a pair of glasses headphone set and a dog tag and it reacted appropriately. I turned off the item went outside to the area I wanted to search turn the item back on and it started rapidly beeping and vibrating Just like you were expected to do when it is located something. But the problem was I was standing in the middle of my yard with the item approximately 5 feet from anything and pointed in the air. There is a helpline I called them and they had me run through the exact same reset and troubleshooting that I’ve already done on my own.So less than five minutes out of the box this item does not work and I’m returning it probably should know that you get what you paid for.I do not recommend the 360 side Detection with pinpointing GP metal detector.

The metal detecting pointer does a great job of screening the soil and giving an audible beep and buzz when it comes about an inch to two inches from metal.I did have issues with the included 9v heavy duty battery with the pinpointer. The pinpointer would sometimes beep randomly when turned on and wouldn’t stop beeping. However, the issue went away when I installed an alkaline 9v battery in the unit. The pinpointer is now working flawlessly with the alkaline 9v installed.

When the pin-pointer came I put the battery [that came with it] in and pressed the power switch it wouldn't power up. I double checked that the battery was properly installed. It still wouldn't power up. I thought the on off switch was faulty. I have a battery tester and tested the battery, it was completely dead. I have extra 9 volts and put one of them in and it powered right up. So the pointer works fine but the battery that came with it is an off brand and was worthless. So if you buy this product have a name brand 9 volt battery on hand.

Works great helping me pinpoint finds, great time saver! Also has helped me locate pretty tiny objects (small bullet, earring....) Glad I purchased!
