Replacement-just in case.
Samsung fridge was icing up in the bottom again. I've done this repair before so I knew it was either the defrost element or the thermistor. No problem-bought both to make sure. Dismantled the fridge and checked the new thermistor with a multimeter to make sure, then compared it to the existing one in the fridge and got no reading from the existing thermistor.Easy to fit when you've got the inside panel off as the connector can only go in one of the connectors and in one direction only.
