Awesome Ice Shelter with Questionable Zippers
I really like this thing. When set up and staked it is rock solid in the wind. The insulation works nice, keeping heat out or in. The blue/black exterior means the sun's radiant energy will heat it up and bring some warmth to the inside. great during winter but bad during summer (if used for plain ol camping). Lots of space on the inside, and many options for storing stuff, including hanging stuff (including lighting) from the interior poles. For regular car camping, I have a double height queen size air mattress on a fold out cot and have plenty of space left on three sides. The two zippers both got messed up a little, with an offset tooth or two. I think the problem is that the entire thing is sewed without any tension, but when set up the door remains loose while the body is stretched just a little. So the zippers dont really line up and it is easy to get a little messed up. Maybe the solution is to set up with the doors closed and teeth correctly aligned, and let it sit in the sun so that the door can warm up and stretch a little to match the body better. Maybe the direction of pull on the corner straps adjacent to the doors can help with the mismatched tension. So - I recommend operating the zippers a bunch before setting up, to help them "seat". Also use your favorite zipper lube (boeshield or beeswax or whatever, depending on your intended temperature use). Unpopping the one hub at the door seems to help the zipper teeth get back in order. Also, when staking, be aware of the amount and direction of tension on each corner and hub. Try to find the ideal way to stake to keep the zippers working.

Great Hub, large and well built with quality material.
I had the Otter XTH Resort out for the last 3 days up in Northwestern Ontario Sunset Country. I was very happy with the ice hub. We our often sitting around -20 Celsius or colder in Jan/Feb so a shelter is imperative for fishing.Having owned the larger Otter ice shelter (the big 4-seat purple resort) I was looking for something lighter in weight so I could access lakes down rough logging roads with out having to haul a trailer. The otter fits nicely with a snowmachine in the 8ft box the Chevy.I was able to load the ice hub on top of the gear in the medium otter sleigh. The hub is heavy so be prepared. I did carry and load it alone but it's much easier with two people. I used two ratchet straps over the top of the hub to secure it to the sleigh. I put it over the to sleigh cover as well. The hub remained secure over the 20km ride in to the spot each day.Set up was very easy, sides pop out first then the roof is last. Two people are able to to move it around once set up but one person I would not recommend.Inside there is lots of room and its tall, dont have to duck the head. It's very well made with quality material. Best features are the upper cargo nets for drying wet gloves and hats, the side pockets with rod holders and the many large removable windows.First two days had light to moderate winds and just shoveling snow around the hub was sufficient for securing it. However the last days fishing had 25-38 mile and hour northwest winds. This day the shelter and corners had to be anchored to the ice. Once that was done there was no problems fishing in it despite those conditions. The dual Mr Heater is more than enough for heating the hub. Fished in temps from -5 to -22 celcius during the 3 days.Take down was just as easy as set up. However in the strong winds we left it partially anchored to the ice until it was collapsed. The carrying bag is big and putting in the bag is easier than other hubs I've owned. Bag did freeze up one day though and it was a bit of a challenge with two people doing the zipper up.All in all great product so far. I am looking forward to putting some fins up in it. Would recommend it to my fellow ice fishermen.

Field Tested, Fisherman Approved!
This insulated ice fishing tent has exceeded my expectations. Size is great for a few guys fishing comfortably with all the gear you need. I camped a couple weekends in it on the ice in extreme conditions and it kept me warm and nothing has broken or failed. Well thought out features like the drying nets up in the ceiling, holes for propane hoses, rod holders inside, zippers are strong and sturdy. If you want a portable fish house and like to have room to work in and stand up in, this is the one you’ve been looking for.
