Great extra battery for my green works tree pole saw

We've had our Greenworks blower for several years now. We like to keep two batteries charged. Well, one finally gave out and I had to buy a new one. It's just like the original. It charges just like the original. It's longevity is just like the original. And it fits just like the original. I got what I needed.

It's quite difficult for me to remove it. I need to ask my hubby to do it for me. The longevity is acceptable; it is new, so we will see after a year. And, for me, it's a little costly.

This works great! Sadly, in my attempt to save some money, I tried two others that were cheaper (but had good reviews), but neither worked at all. they came partially charged, and as soon as I turned on my blower, it ran for two seconds then stopped. Then I charged them fully, and the same thing happened. So I bit the bullet and got the real deal from Greenworks, and I am so glad I did. Learned my lesson.

The battery life on this is very low, used this for about 15 mins in the snow before it was dead. Not helpful during a storm if you ask me

So far so good. Works with my 40 V Green Works chainsaw. The off namebrand batts. only lasted a couple years. My original green works battery is still going. I’m sure the same will besaid for this one.

Bought this as a spare battery and rarely gets used. Of course after a big storm I had a lot of branches to cut down and using the Greenworks chainsaw(which is awesome by the way) I ran the original battery out of juice and plugged in the spare only to find out it didn't work(no charge) Thinking I may not have had it all the way pushed into the charge base unit I tried to charge it again but only got a flashing RED charge light. In looking at the book that came with charge base, it said "defective battery" It is just past the 1 year mark since I bought it so no warranty recourse, although I did try and go to the technical help page and that page wasn't working at all, just got a "oops, we can't find that page right now" screen. These are expensive batteries and frustrated that the battery failed so soon, while the original battery is still going strong. Update: Changed to 3 stars because of positive customer service from Greenworks rep. Found out these batteries have a 4 year warranty so called them and although had to spend a few minutes confirming some details of my purchase, they are sending me another battery at no cost.

I ordered for my leaf blower & since I had no leaves to blow I didn't bother doing a test run. When I attempted to use it the battery doesn't fit my blower & because, despite it not being used, it's over 30 days I can't exchange or return it. If you order this battery give it a test run as soon as you receive it

Greenworks did not honor warranty for battery purchased through Amazon.ca. Battery did not last a year.
