Great for tight spaces
Bought this for my husband. He seen a video of someone using one and wanted to try it. It came in a reasonable amount of time. My husband has used it a few times now and he says it's very handy. Great for tight spaces.

Very convenient
Absolutely love this it works when bolt has no tension on it instead of like most wrenches will just spin both directions. I wasn’t sure of it at first cause it’s pricy but it’s 100% worth the price haven’t used it a lot yet so not sure of durability but so far it’s been good!

Versatile dual drive design! Some reviews are incorrect.
I purchased this product because I liked the concept of the sidewinder ratchet. Now, this isn't the original sidewinder ratchet but works similarly.I do own a 3/8" sidewinder; big negative for the sidewinder is that the head of the ratchet is HUGE!In most cases, you are using these types of tools due to very little room - having a more compact design is a big advantage.Enter the Stanley / Blackhawk (owned by Stanley Black & Decker) rotator ratchets.Sized more like normal ratchets, this makes for a big advantage over the sidewinder.#1 Many review complain about not being able to reverse - this is the user not being familiar with a new tool design.Easiest way to engage the reverse mechanism is to put the largest socket you can find in the anvil and hold the tool by the socket. This will hold the anvil in place and allow you to switch to the reverse easier. If you don't prevent the anvil from moving, it is almost impossible to reverse the direction. The reverse plate on the back of the ratchet head is pretty low profile, so this takes some effort and dexterity to accomplish; Stanley could redesign that part so it's easier to twist. The outer part of that twist plate is geared, so itight be easier to twist by that edge.#2 A review mentioned that back plate being made of (cheap) plastic - it is not.It is definitely metal. The majority of the ratchet shaft / body is painted black - looks like the same finish as on the black sockets. It might look nice when new, but I'm sure it'll scratch and look beat up under normal use.Wish they would've used a more durable finish or chrome plate the areas. My ratchet came with a set of metric sockets but oddly missing the 12mm.Most Japan vehicles use 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm.Most Euro use 7mm, 8mm, 10mm, 11mm, 13mm.It's an added bonus to have the sockets, but the 12mm would've been nice as I mostly work on Japanese vehicles. Not that big of a deal as I have my own socket sets but worth to be mentioned in this review.

Terrible. 50 dollar ratchet that only turns one way.
I cannot get the ratchet to turn the other way. What a waste

Seriously, A Must Have Tool
How many times have you had to ratch a nut on or off but only had 5 degrees of movement? This ratch lets you twist the handle clockwise/counter-clockwise to turn the socket (you can crank the handle like normal, the twisting comes in handy for tight areas). Great for turning a nut down, or off, after you've "cracked" it and gotten it moving. It's one of those tools you will wish you could send back in time to yourself.

Very Handy
I thought this was only to be used by twisting the handle in tight places, but it actually works also as a normal ratchet. Just want a 1/2 inch one to be produced. Don't need to be sold with sockets as Everyone has kits before needing a specific ratchet like this.

Riktigt bra idé men.....
