YKS MX2212 920KV Brushless Electric Machine (4 Pack)

Not sure about these yet...3 of the 4 seem pretty smooth when you spin them by hand, but the 4th feels pretty rough. The 4th motor did fall on my concrete carport, after I was looking at it. I put it back in the bag and grabbed them, and it fell out, but no visible damage from that. Anyway, I installed them in my P2V, one at a time, making sure I was soldering them in correctly. After putting the quad back together, I hooked it to my PC to check the DJI Assistant and see if it would need an IMU calibration, or if I could go test fly. Upon startup & connection with assistant, I got a "Compass Err" in Assistant. After several restarts with no change, I opened the quad back up, checked all the GPS and compass cables & connections, and still no change. I have the original compass, that I replaced with a new one (didn't solve that issue), so I put it back on and hooked it up, still no change. For whatever reason, it doesn't show a compass in Assistant now, after installing these motors. I will try to update when I get the chance to troubleshoot more. That's why my review is 2 stars, for now.

Well, I would give these motors 5 stars, but I have one complaint.Pros: Smooth, just like the DJI motors. Reasonable length for the wires and easy to solder 3.5 bullet connectors on. Works excellent with DJI style props. (If you're looking for props for these motors, just look for DJI style hub or DJI style props.Cons; 3 out of the 4 motors worked properly. One of the counter clockwise motors would only spin clockwise (the wrong direction).I checked my soldering on everything from the PDB to the motor connector and everything was fine. I even tried other 30 amp and 15 amp ESCs on the motor but I could only get it to spin the wrong way. All it would do when it would try to spin properly (counter-clockwise) it would just twitch and beep.

I ordered a set of these, and after installing, it was apparent that 2 of them were bad. All they would do was shudder around, and one of them had a slight burnt odor to it. I contacted the seller, and they responded a day later. They had me upload a video of the problem, which I did, and shortly thereafter, they responded stating they were going to refund $25 of the purchase. I liked the way the motors felt and looked quality wise, so I decided to order another set (hoping for better luck). They arrived yesterday, and I tried installing them today. 1 of the 4 motors received this time was bad. So, out of 8 motors purchased, only 5 actually worked. I contacted the seller again, and responded shortly after stating they will refund another $18.I have yet to get them in the air, and to be honest, I am rather nervous about trying them out. Hopefully the bad ones shipped are not an indicator of how they will survive once they are airborne. The ones that work appear to be very smooth, and a lot quieter than the really cheap motors that came with my initial build kit.The seller has been good with communication, but I can't recommend any product 50% of the product is dead on arrival, and 25% of the next order is also dead.

Awesome motors. They are a drop-in replacement on my Quanum Nova (a.k.a Cheerson CX-20). I haven't flown on them yet, but I installed them and briefly spun them up; all looks well. As others have said, the packaging was very professional. I don't think I've seen anything shipped so well on Amazon before. Very happy with my purchase.EDIT:After the first 30 seconds flying on these motors, both of the counter-clockwise motors died. One stopped working and the other started to smoke. I emailed the company several days ago and have not received a response. I left the review at five stars while waiting to hear back from them. I was hoping to receive a response, but I can't leave 5 star feedback when half the motors are defective, and I can't even get a response from the company. If this is a misunderstanding, and the company reaches out to me to make this right, I will happily readjust my original product rating. Based on other reviews here I'm not the only one to have this problem. Big disapponemt.

Purchased these to replace broken motors on phantom 1 vision. Motors arrived in 2 days. Took me a week or so to get time to install them. Installation is straight forward, cut the old wires, solder and shrink wrap the new ones. Wires are color coded so there is no guessing. Just make sure the correct motor in the right place. If unsure, take the cap off the new and see which old one it screws onto. Simple. Tried the motors out and all 4 work great... for the first time out. Will update if there are problems.just one note, the customer service number for the seller did not work for me.. it was unreachable. BUT I am happy and would recommend.

I got these quickly. When I put them on my quad-rotor, they worked great, with the exception of one motor. One motor was bad and as far as I could tell, had a short in one of the coils. I took it as a simple manufacturing defect which happens from time to time. I notified the seller and they refunded me the appropriate amount for that motor. I'm still using the other 3 and they have worked flawlessly. I have about 10 hours of flight time on them and they are still going strong.

These are hardy, powerful motors. My only complaint is that the mounting holes didn't quite line up with the mounting holes on my Walkera qrx350pro, but they are more powerful than the stock motors. Great value for the money.

Absolutely love these motors! Amazing quality bearings ,smooth, tight. very premium feel. Packaging is impeccable. the motors sit ultra snug in packaging and are heavily protected. great lift, very quite.the ONLY downside is. if your not using them on a Phantom (Like me) it is a little annoying to find Propellers above the standard phantom 8 and 9" to fit because these have the keyed shaft and the 8mm diameter shaft. be aware when ordering propellers!
