10 Feet Video Av Cable for Philips Dual Screen Portable DVD Player

We have a Philips dual screen DVD player we use for car trips with the kids. It was starting to cut out a lot and we had to keep jiggling the cord to get the picture to the second screen. Eventually it just stopped working all together. We bought this cord and I was immediately impressed with it's heavier duty construction over the factory cable. It worked like a charm! Plus it's much longer so it's not as easy for the kids to kick it out of the player!

My son reported that the kid's DVD cable had become inoperative in his van. I ordered these as replacements. They arrived in good condition. They appeared to be very well-made. He installed them and reported that they worked well in the van. With kids being kids, I anticipate that these will be abused to the point that they, too, will become inoperative. I'll just order another set from Amazon! It's just too much trouble to repair them, anymore! An excellent value!

I never write reviews but there's a lot of mixed reviews out there, so here you go. Phillips dual screen portable DVD player. My daughter dropped the main screen in the car and broke the original cable.Received this cable yesterday, tested it this morning. I have full video and audio, works fine in that aspect. There is an auditory hum coming from the second player when the cable is connected. This could be from the cable itself OR from the jack on the main player from when my daughter broke the original. I would need another cable to verify. This is the reason for 4/5 stars because I can't be sure yet. If/when I test with another cable I will change the stars.The hum is only noticeable because I was sitting in a quiet car with no background noise. The noise is not noticed when a DVD is playing and I'd bet when the car is moving and kids are talking I won't notice it either.Hope this helps other folks out.

This cord connects both DVD players together so one movie can be watched by 2 people. In my case, this cord was broken by the kids and so was the peace and harmony in the van. Wasn't working out with one screen playing Mickey. Anyway, got this cord today and it was a perfect fit for my Panasonic DVD players. I like the length of the cord which allows plenty extra to tuck and hide it away. Fast shipping, works, what else can you ask for.

This cord works to display video on my second Philips portable DVD player screen, however the interference from the engine electronics is truly annoying. Apparently this cable is not shielded like the factory cable and the buzz through the speakers can get very loud especially at high rpms. We have learned to live with it but it was initially very distracting. By moving both units further away from the engine the noise can be reduced, but we cannot get them far enough away in a Camry to totally eliminate it. Perhaps in a van this would work well.

This cable is a direct replacement for the cable that came with my philips dual screen DVD player. It transfers the sound and video from the primary screen to the secondary screen. My issue is the audio quality. the cable I received introduced a distinct feedback which sounded like a bad ground in the cable. It was noticeable particularly during the quiet parts in the DVD video. I tried swapping the dvd between units to confirm that the noise being introduced was only present on the receiving DVD player, not the sending DVD player. I also tried a known good cable to confirm that the audio problem was not caused by a bad 3.5mm jack on the devices. This item will be returned and my search for a quality replacement cable will continue...

I purchased this as a replacement for the cord that goes between two portable DVD players (the type usually used in a car). It needed to have three lines on the plug part (instead of the normal two that most headphone jacks have), which it showed in the picture that it had. So yes, when it arrived I was glad to see that it had three and it is called an "AV cable," and it indicated that it would do what I was buying it for. However, when I got it and plugged it in, it doesn't work right or do what I got it for, and it only transferred the sound to the second DVD player.

This is the second cable I have had to buy. My kids keep tripping over the cable and breaking it. The first replacement cable I got gave me picture and no sound. This one works great and is finally long enough for me to tuck it out of the my of my kids feet. The only think that could be better would be to have it wireless.
