It took some fiddling around to get to install because of a tight fit but the the problems showed up as soon as that was done.I put I in aDell Precision M6300 whose old third-party battery whose voltage had dropped to around 8 volts so the PC would only run when plugged in.This PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium.The seller specifically lists this model as compatible.Immediately on first boot up, I got a message that the battery could not be identified and would not be charged. Also, the battery status light started alternating green and red which the PC manual says indicates the battery is too hot to charge. But of course the battery was barely at room temperature.The battery came about 70% charged and I monitored it for a few minutes as it dropped to about 55% with the power adapter connected so, as warned, the battery was not being charged.I use a hardware monitoring program to display the battery status. It reported the battery’s capacity to already bd 7% less than full design capacity.I immediately reported this to Amazon and was immediately refunded. I have placed an order for a different battery (I hope) from a different seller.

Edit: dropped to 1 star, these are trash, both completely dead won't even last a second, went back to 3 year old ones that at least last through a power blink.Seemed ok for a while, I bought 2 and have 2 different laptops & multiple different power supplies and both batteries are behaving the same way no matter the combination of equipment. They don't charge normally, the charge light kinda blinks intermittently and sometimes not at all. It also is a bit tougher to install the battery than any batteries we've gotten before, it binds up and kinda jams. I've found that a bit of jiggling will get it to drop in correctly but it's more prone to the binding, so if it gets stuck you may need to slightly tweak the angle.

I tried two of these batteries and neither one would fit my Dell Vostro 1000 laptop. While it's the correct shape, it's unfortunately about 1/16" too thick to actually fully seat into the laptop. While it looks just like the original, it refuses lock into place.

I put the battery in my computer. It was a real tight fit. battery sticks up above the bottom of the computer. Also the tab to pull the battery is cheap and pulled off. hopefully the battery last longer than the tab has worked

It loaded fine and charged fine. I've barely used it five weeks and now it has given up the ghost. Of course, a few days after the return window closed. Very very disappointed. Can anyone recommend a brand for my Dell Laptop that really works?UPDATE- seller is sending new one. Battery has 1 year replacement guarantee, so hoping the new one is much better.

Immediately out of the box it wouldn't charge completely. I ran it through many, many cycles to finally get it fully charged. But even after finally getting it to charge fully, it cannot be unplugged from AC power for more than 10 or 15 minutes before it dies and the laptop just shuts right off. It does this every time without fail. Batteries are cheap, China junk. They're cheap, yes. But don't waste your time.

The battery is very long lasting as described.

What is there to say? The old battery came out. This battery went in and fit perfectly. It charged and holds a charge well.
