What is the range coverage? How close do the locks have to be to the gateway?

There are 2 different "ranges". Wifi to this unit. And this unit to the lock itself. Wifi to this unit...is typical wificoverage. If you're smart phone works (with your wifi) at that location, then this unit will probably work with the wifi. Wifi to this unit is NOT the limiting aspect. The second "range" is this unit to the lock itself. This unit to the lock is BLUE TOOTH range. I was ok at about 15 feet and no obstacles. At 25 feet (that also included a wall in between) this unit could not blue tooth to the actual lock. So if you have multiple locks that are "scattered", one gateway (this item) may not reach them all because of the BLUE TOOTH range.

Can more than one lock be paired to this?
